To Lers: Minimum ticklishness you are ok with?

Hi,
I would love to know what lers think about this: What is the least amount of ticklishness you are ok with before you lose interest?

Or in other words, if the Lee isn't very ticklish, can you describe at which level would the tickling stop fulfilling your urges? where you would lose interest? or just stop considering the person as a tickling candidate?

I hope that makes sense... Would love to hear your point of view as a tickler on it.

If they won't at least giggle when tickled unexpectedly, like when their sides are grabbed, I wouldn't be very interested.

As long as the person is squirming/shaking, it helps. Some of my lees can hold still, but there are other signs of genuine ticklishness like laughter or sweating. Without at least one of those, it would feel faked.

If you use a tickle scale of 1-10 I would say someone who is a 3 or 4 on a ticklish scale I lose interests pretty fast, but if they are a 7 or 8 or higher I could tickle them forever....LOL

At times, when I am tickled, I don't "laugh", but I have this ridiculously dorky grin plastered on my face, I turn red, and my entire body shakes. The people who have tickled me haven't seemed to complain, but I suppose I can see why that might not be enough for some.

I prefer at least some giggling and squirming. Even more important to me is that they have a varied response to different kinds of tickling.

One woman I tickled at a tickle gathering years ago had the exact same laugh regardless of how she was tickled or for how long. She reacted the same way 10 seconds into the tickling as she did 15 minutes into it. Just a calm laugh.

It just didn't do it for me.

I have no doubt she was ticklish and enjoyed tickling, but her reaction didn't appeal to me.

Everyone responds differently to being tickled and every tickler has a certain response that is desired. As long as they are not "insanely hyper, scream their heads off like they are on fire" ticklish, or as ticklish as a rock, anywhere between those two extremes I'm usually okay.

I like to balance between the ticklishly unbearable and the ticklishly erotic.

My preference is if they can be tickled without being held down or tied, they're not ticklish enough to hold my interest very long. Now, if they're trying to escape before I even touch them anywhere, That peaks my interest! And if they're a smart ass and goading me on all the while..... perfect! Game on!!

It's not that I lose interest... it's just awkward. I had a female acquaintance in college, real cute girl that I had just asked out so I was kinda flirting with her a bit, that I decided to tickle one day. Moment was perfect- her hands were in the air, shirt rose just a bit- her sides were mine. Aaaaaaaaand... nothing. Not even a hint of a reaction. She just gave me this look like "wth are you doing?". I mean, seriously, it didn't even initiate an urge to drop her arms to defend herself. Her arms are still in the air, slowly lowering. It was a complete and total failure on all counts 😛

There is nothing more awkward than explaining to someone that you took the opportunity to interrupt their nice enjoyable stretch by tickling them only to find out they aren't ticklish. 😛

The only way I ever try to "explain" is by trying one spot after another until I get some satisfaction. By then, my explanation is usually quite clear. 😉

Actually, I think ridiculously dorky grins can be attractive too, but I need to be able to force some laughter at some point.

Well if a lee squirms a little and jerks while I'm tickling her is okay at first, but at some point she's going to have to start laughing. One of the reasons I tickle a woman is to hear her laugh and so if all she's going to do is squirm, it's not that fun. I had a girlfriend that only squirmed when I tickled her. It sucked. And I'd say after a minute of squirming if i don't get even a giggle out of her I'd lose interest.. and then a little while after that if she did giggle I'd lose interest completely.

Good question. Most questions get asked over and over again... but I don't think I've seen this one before.

I was great to come back a couple of days later to find all those wonderful responses to this thread!

While im mainly a lee, if I do end up as a Ler I know i would lose interest if there is no reaction at all. But if there is some squirming or minor giggles then to me that means there is a big chance of a "jackpot ticklish spot" somewhere on that body. And thus I would go on a long quest to find it.


The reason for this question: I had a few tickling sessions recently where i got tickled after a long dry spell, and i felt like my response to the tickling was different than what i used to remember, thinking maybe I lost my ticklishness, or increased my tolerance, or perhaps the tickler wasn't as good? So I was curious to know if i was still in the "safe zone" in terms of ticklishness, and I what everyone else thought, and what defined the "safe zone".

Now I wonder if there is a way to flip this question to Lee's: what kind of tickling would they lose interest?
