In a word, attention. I've been a member of many fetish sites over the years, and there are always a certain number of women who gravitate to a site like this because it's pretty easy to be a big fish in a little pond. The man/woman ratio is way in the favor of women, and, to be honest, there are men on fetish sites who will just fall all over themselves for any female attention at all. If such a woman is young, relatively attractive and willing to prove it, she can be sure that she'll have more males falling at her feet than she could ever have in the real world.
But a young, attractive woman doesn't
need virtual male attention, she can get
real male attention in the
real world, you say. But young and attractive only takes you so far in the real world. What if she's married, or in a long-term relationship but is totally insecure and still needs external validation? Or what if she's single, but nuts? There are BOATLOADS of young, attractive women with serious personality problems. Also, just plain numbers. There are boatloads of other young, attractive women out there, whereas on a fetish site, the number of women to compete with is relatively low. Most women on fetish sites won't post pictures of themselves, so they aren't even in the game. Once you get down to those women who are willing to show themselves, there's only a very few who end up getting 99% of the attention. With those odds, there's more than enough attention to go around. You don't even have to compete.
Anyway, that's why - straight freakanomics.
