Hi All! I thought I would post this to warn you NOT to do what I did.

I have been playing Stardew Valley for a while now, and, early on, was having trouble with fishing [it's kind of hard to learn-but, when learned, it is very fun].

Well, I saw on the net that the PC version had a patch/mod to make fishing easier.

I thought I would E-mail Chucklefish [the people who made it] and ask if their was a patch/mod coming for us on X-1.

Now, I don't know if they did or not, but, I think they sold my e-mail address because ever since I mailed them, I have been getting a lot of spam e-mails.

And, BTW: They never did get back to me ether.
 
I'm not sure why an indie developer would sell a random customer's email lol. It doesn't seem worthwhile to me, are you sure it was the right email?

Not 100% sure.

It was the only address I could find on their website.

I wasn't getting any spam until a few days after I sent the e-mail to them, so the timing kind of struck me as weird.

but, Stardew Valley is a very, very fun game. I would highly recommend it to anyone than likes Harvest Moon style games.

I had a bunch of nice indie's on my 360. Games I wish they would redo on X1. Titles like Evil Quest, All the Indiemon titles, and one more that I liked, can't remember the name of it at the time.
 
Yeah, I really enjoy Stardew Valley and from what I had seen the dev didn't seem like the type to kind of "back stab" their customers like that. I've seen them responding on twitter for the most part so maybe that would have been the better option?

It's kind of an annoying thing to have happen regardless. That's why I have two emails, one for random guff that I don't mind spam on and one for communication and more professional stuff.

Yeah. I might have used Twitter myself, but haven't ever sit-up a Twitter account.

Actually, this forum is my only means of "social" media.
