It struck the iceberg at 11:40pm on April 14th and it sank 2 hours and 40 minutes later at 2:20am on April 15th.

damn i was close...so technically the Titanic was struck on the 14th, but didn't sink until the wee hours of the 15th... even after all these years, it's a sad, sad event...i have several books on the sinking and the investigation afterwards, you would think i could remember the exact date...no moon that night, but the stars were out, and survivors said they never saw so many falling stars as that night...

wasn't the Oklahoma City bombing sometime soon? and that would also mean it is close to the anniversary of what happened at Waco...to think that one event brought forth the other..i really feel that McVeigh should not have been allowed to dictate when he died..
