Oh this is justice. Last year it was all about how great and grand this Patriots team was compared to the 72 Dolphins. I think only now the Patriots truly respect what the Dolphins did in 1972.

1971 Dolphins - lost the superbowl
2007 Patriots - lost the superbowl

1972 Dolphins - went undefeated with BACKUP quarterback and won superbowl
2008 Patriots - ??

And don't even try the argument the 72 dolphins had an easy schedule. The Patriots have the easiest schedule in the league this season.

And oh yeh - the 1973 Dolphins won yet another superbowl the following season.

If the Patriots can match this accomplishment I will admit their greatness. If they can't I think it's case closed about this team being even close to the perfect 72 Dolphins.

I agree with you that you NEVER cheer on an injury. That is truly sad. But that is also why you don't make Super Bowl picks in June. Too much can happen.

Those that picked the Patriots to go to the Super Bowl, it is on record so you can't revise or change it now. You are stuck with your pick.

'Experts' always were calling Brady the next Montana (3 rings for Brady, 4 for Montana, both WERE perfect til last year, the combacks...)

Now Brady is [seriously] injured in his prime, just like 'Joe Cool'... kind of creepy huh?

And remember, Joe Cool was never really the same after his injury.
