Go out on top, riding on the Budweiser coach pulled by Clydesdales after winning the World Series.

This surprised me. Its the first time I can ever remember a baseball manager retiring right after winning the World Series. Phil Jackson "retired" in 1998 after winning the NBA title, and then came back twice more. I guess Tony wants to go out on top. I believe Tony will stay retired.

Tony was one of the best managers ever. He will one day be in the Hall of Fame. Hopefully he will enjoy his retirement. He deserves it.

A lock for the Hall of Fame. Good timing, too; it's nice to go out after a big win.

Tony has admitted to tiring easier the last couple years. He`s 67, and he battled a serious illness (shingles) for most of 2011. He told Cardinal management in August that this would be his last season, and didn`t think twice about changing his mind after winning the World Series. I admit to being a little surprised, but Tony has always done things his way. He`s going out a winner, and how many managers or head coaches can say that???:trophy: Congratulations, and see you in Cooperstown in 5 years.
