Hope, the couple of times I've spoken to you, you seem pretty cool.
I used to allow what happened on the forum to bother me. Not anymore. I'm much more low profile than I used to be, and not around here nearly as much. That being said, I've become accustomed to the fact that some people just do not like me. I deal with it, put them on ignore, go on with life, come here for what I want to be here for, to post, chat with some people, and write stories, and as for the rest of it, whatever.
I suggest you do the same. Enjoy those who are your friends, and for those who don't like you, that's their problem. In a forum as large as this one, it is inevitable that you will dislike some people on the forum, and some people on the forum will dislike you. I'm sure that many people think you are a nice person. Pay attention to those, and just try to ignore the rest.

Hope, one other piece of advice, if I may.
I've been here over 5 years. During that time, there were many occasions I got into sparring wars, or reported, those who attacked me on the boards, to mods. Doing that, just insighted the attacks, drew attention to myself, and further enhanced the problem. I've found that the ignore button goes a long, long way. Additionally, threads like this give credibility to those who attack. It says to them "Hmmm, know what, we really got under Hope's skin, so, we're going to continue saying whatever we think she is, to insight more posts like this, cause more trouble, and basically escalate the problem." Some people just enjoy doing this. While one may write "I dont care" in the thread. In fact, calling attention to it, shows they do care. The best way to show someone you dont care is one way, to ignore them, like they dont exist, and they aren't here. Either put them on ignore on your forum ignore list, or, if you come in chat, and you see anyone who started this crap in the room, click the no smoking sign in the room, it puts them on ignore immedately, you can't see what they say, and they can't pc you in the room, or bother you. I do this all the time.
As for feelings about this: I, too wish I didnt have people who acted like this toward me, but, I only have two choices, either to call attention to it, or them, by reacting to it, or, by putting them on ignore. You really cant control what people think, but you can control your reaction to it, to save yourself getting pissed off about it. Unless someone really matters to your life, getting pissed off about what they do, just isnt worth it.
