Dear friends,
I've been absent for awhile, but still around. Thought I'd take a moment to touch base.
First off, this week's Wild Card Radio is going to be postponed until next week, for those of you looking for the links and such. Yesterday, during a horrific snow/slushstorm, I hit a bad spot, lost control, hit an embankment, went airborne and nose-dived my truck into a tree. Got pretty decent whiplash out of it, plus got thrown into the side with some serious force, ripping my shoulder apart and right now I'm just in too much pain to focus on doing a show.
And right after I got done rebuilding the engine, getting it all paid off and all of that. The truck is destroyed, the bumper's behind the front tire, the alternator is now inside what used to be the battery...whole nine yards. Managed to crack a four-foot tree, too. I'm relatively ok...could have been MUCH worse if I'd hit about 18 inches more to the center...would have had my engine in my lap, or through it. As it is, even the deflected force from hitting at an angle bounced the truck 15 feet and completely disintegrated most of the front end.
On a happier note, I've been out of touch of late mostly due to a new and wonderful relationship that's everything I've ever been looking for...so we're pretty much still in that "discovery and exploration" phase when you're all that really matters to one another. I am very happy, excruciating pain notwithstanding, and friends...this is "the one". She makes me happier than I've been in years and has opened doors I'd thought were shut forever.
So, I'm still around, still very much a part of the TT community (among all my other communities 🙂 ), just need some time to heal.
