You kids today cannot realise the seismic effect of discovering Cal Star in the early nineties. The very idea that there was a company actually making Tickling videos (and thus there had to be a market for them), was the first 'you are not alone' tickling moment I had. Yes they ripped you off with their prices, but back then such material really was priceless. Anyway these pictures are taken from their clips for sale page http://www.clips4sale.com/store/212 However unlike normal, when you copy these pix to your hard drive, they actually turn out to be quite a decent size. Well nice guy that I am I have done the job for you.

I would say that by comparison to today's prices, those prices would seem like a rip off. However, those prices were the same price as all the other adult material at that time.

I began buying them in the late 80's back when they were Platinum and even made the trek to Sherman Oaks to meet them.

For me, between meeting these people, Diana Hanson (editor of Leg Show) and Elmer Batters (the father of modern foot fetishism) I began to realize that I wasn't weird for having my tickling and foot fetishes, but that I was lucky.

They are worthy of a tribute even if some of their stuff would pale in comparison to today’s producers like Tickled To Death, Silver Cherry, Blue Productions and Real Tickling. They guys paved the way for us all.

Carlifornia Star was one of the best companys ever! They had a lot of nice hogtied stuff and many nylon tickling Clips.

The mid-80s

T79, you seem to have discovered California Star in the early 1990s but their first tickling videos came out around 1986. The first two featured the gorgeous Michelle Bauer (using the name Pia Sands). Years later I read Ms. Bauer was :shock: not even ticklish despite how authentic her reactions were in her CalStar videos. Who knows if that's true, but it sure looked real enough. And what a beauty she was.

I have seen a number of California Star videos and clip compilations. The quality varied, to say the least. The best CalStar moment I saw was a video that took place in a woman's prison, where a female guard restrains and tickles what seemed to be an incredibly ticklish redhead. Shame of it was, the filmmakers made the poor choice of shooting the sequence through prison bars, partially obscuring the view. But if you saw the video, I think you would agree the tickling was as hot as it gets.

Even then only by accident as I saw a poster of theirs on the wall of a Porno video dealer in London, who had sold me my first video (The Harmony video TICKLISH featuring Whitney Prescott and Ashley Renee). He later sold me Cal Stars T&T 15 (featherface). After which I used to buy them on mail order, which would take around a month to arrive. They were around $95 each. When they come up with an offer in 1998 of two for $98, I though all my Christmasses had come early. Unfortunately UK customs & excise confiscated a couple (threatening to take me to court), because one featured a ticklee with a gag. Fortunately that coincided with the net taking off, and the era of downloadable clips, otherwise I would probably be doing porridge now.

Like you I found their quality varied enormously, and soon found that the best deal was to buy their compilation vids Tied & Tickled Classics.

Right I was a customer of theirs too. Around 1990. Small world.
