Hello all - I've been around here off and on, and for a while had a different account, but am starting fresh with this one in a new era in my life and relationship with the TMF. So here's a first post:
I know at times here, being in a relationship with someone who isn't into tickling - or "vanilla" - is frustrating for people or hasn't worked out, and that many prefer being with others who are into it. I have only been with "vanilla" women and - as I've seen others post here too - there's something about it that I think is in some way more appealing. To each their own, but I've been feeling a lot of appreciation for my girlfriend lately around this topic and wanted to create a thread for those of us who have had "successful" relationships with vanilla partners that are both emotionally and sexually satisfying.
It's quite remarkable to see women go from not even knowing tickling as a turn-on exists to embracing it as part of their relationship (I would say particularly as lees, but this is just my experience, and I don't want this thread to be limited to that). I think for some, especially those who don't have a very positive association with tickling, there can be a bit of a shock-factor. When I first told my girlfriend she had a lot of trepidation, because she'd had a lot of negative experiences with tickling as a child and associated it with being powerless. This is definitely still something that she struggles with, but it's evolving and we're working together with it. And over time, she has really grown to be very supportive and accepting and playful about it all. She even recently expressed openness to the possibility of trying tickling roleplays together (something I haven't really done with any partners before) and also with me sharing stories on here. So I'm feeling a lot of love and appreciation for this beautiful, wonderful woman in my life - a woman who is really unbelievably ticklish and for a long time hated it, and is now growing to embrace it in our life together.
Anyone else have stories to share? It doesn't have to be of this nature (someone not into tickling grows to embrace it), but rather just tales of those of us who have "vanilla" partners who we appreciate for their willingness to embrace our fetish in some way, shape or form (which could even include those who don't know about it!).
