After a snooze fest first half the Bears and Lions made things interesting after halftime. Chase Daniel posted a career best 27 of 37 for 230 yards with two touchdowns while an anemic ground game managed just 38 yards. Their 23-16 win moves the Bears to 8-3 with a commanding 3 game lead over the second place Vikings.
In Dallas a surging Cowboys team beat Washington 31-23 to pull even with the "Skins in the NFC East. Colt McCoy posted a respectable if unspectacular performance going 24 of 38 for 268 yards and two touchdowns but also tossed three interceptions. Prescott was 22 of 31 for 285 yards and two scores while Amari Cooper shredded Washington for 180 yards on 8 catches and two touchdowns with Elliott adding 121 yards and a score on the ground. Adrian Peterson managed just 35 yards rushing. His production has dropped off dramatically the last few weeks and one can't help wondering if Father Time is finally catching up with him.
Next up, the Falcons take on the Saints in the Superdome. If Matt Ryan gets the Falcons offense cranked up we may be in for another barn burner.
Turn out the lights Falcons, your 2018 party is over. Here's a helpful hint-holding on to the ball is a big help. Ask the Chiefs about that.
