As it turned out, the party who was suing Timothy, had been represented by Alan Hell's firm's Philadelphia office, and said party was held liable in a lawsuit where they had to pay money, that a malpractice lawyer advised them they actually were not liable for.
So.. finding out this information, said party who was already suing Timothy, then filed suit against Tom, and Alan Hell's Philadelphia office, for said charges of being negligent and also on charges of malpractice in the other lawsuit
Alan called Ross a few days after Alan and Ross found out about Tom and Timothy, and Alan said.
"Ross, the plot thickens. It turns out that sometime ago, good old Tom had represented the party who is going after Timothy, and Tom basically fucked up the case. The statute of limitations is not up on that, so, to be even more nasty, said party decided to sue Tom, and thus our Philadelphia office, for charges on that old case, that is not old enough to be past the statute of limitations. We had better be prepared for a wild ride, Ross, because this could get worse before it gets better." Alan said.
Ross sighed. To Ross, this seemed like a far worse version of the George Borgier situation of years earlier. Ross did not know how much or whether Tim would be hurt by the lawsuit against Tim. While the charges against Tom could cause Tom to have his license revoked, be fired from the Philadelphia office, and the office might have to downsize or close totally. Alan Hell and his other offices would survive, but this was bound to be "One Hell Of A Mess"
Ross's mind was racing a mile a minute. As the weekend approached. Ross wanted to do only one thing. Go into fantasyland, and make a trip to OKC.
