Tying to bed 101. Please Help!

Crap title I know, all I could think of on the spur the moment. Anyways girlfriend is coming back soon after a two month visit home, and I got loads of things planned. One of them involves a bed, 4 nylon ropes and a night of beggin and laughing, and hopefully loads of kissing 😉

My question is: how the f*** do you actually tie somone spreadeagled to the bed? 😀 Been years since I was a scout so I cant remember any knots. My bed has posts so no problem with securing the ropes to anything. Basically Im asking for aid on the tying department, the safety measurements and everything else which could come in handy! Share the knowledge and spread the laughter!

My first bit of advice is to use cuffs, or wrap the rope as wide as possible. Joints like the wrists and ankles are areas where the blood vessels and nerves are closest to the skin (no muscle or fat to protect them), so check the distal (radial on the wrist or pedal on the top of the foot) pulses after you apply the cuffs/knots.

Other indicators are if the 'lee complains if the restraints are too tight or the foot/hand turns blue.

Use a Bowline to restrain the wrist/ankle or preferably the 'D'-ring attached to the cuff attached to the wrist/ankle:

To attach to the bed posts, use a cloverhitch:

Have some means of releasing the 'lee if things go wrong (scissors, knife, wire cutters, etc.)

Use Nylon cuffs and tie the ropes to them instead of tying ropes around the ankles! If you do it wrong, the fun could be really short. I was once tied with a scarf and my arm was numb within five minutes.

Even better, buy a pair of leather wrist cuffs, and a pair of leather ankle ones, then use the rope to thread through the D-rings on them and tie the rope to the bed legs.

You can then tie her as tight as you want without actually severing her appendages.
