GSP does it again...not sure if Im happy for annoyed by this...

It's not that I dont like GSP...but it's getting boring with his as Champion,

Who do You guys think...if anybody is going to be the person to take him down?

GSP ran a striking clinic on Koscheck. He proved what all his critics were saying; that he can strike just as well as he can throw a takedown. I was thrilled with his performance last night. He made Koscheck look almost like an amateur.

As for future competition, up next is Jake Shields, which will happen sometime in the spring, barring injuries. If Shields has his conditioning fixed, it will be a hell of a fight and a real test for GSP. If not, Shields is in for a long night.

I'm nowhere near bored with GSP as champion. It's not like some of Anderson Silva's recent fights, where he backs up and barely attacks. GSP gets in there and really makes a competition out of it. That said, as long as there are clear #1 contenders out there for GSP, I have no issues with him as champion.

Incidently, there's an upcoming fight between Jon Fitch and BJ Penn. The winner may well get a title shot after Shields.

Vas y GSP!

well, to end all the drama, the one match that needs to be made unfortunately will never be made, and that is....

GSP vs Anderson Silva

a mega-fight is needed...too bad it'll never happen

I agree, this would be a great match, and I would love to see Anderson Silva lose. but regardless tho soemthing needs to happen, UFC is getting majorly boring

If Belfort beats Silva in February, the match is moot. Belfort, Sonnen and possibly Okami are all legitimate threats to Silva. Moreover, his weakness seems to be against really strong wrestlers, like GSP. While striking and size may be on his side, my money would be on GSP for that fight. It may actually happen as soon as 2012.

GSP, on the other hand, is one fight away from beating every welterweight ranked in the top 5 in the division from the last five years by shutout decision, if not stoppage (only Jake Shields is left). Nobody in the history of the sport has done this.

A mega-fight may be out of the question, but at this point, Silva has something to prove at Middleweight before he looks at GSP. GSP may have to move up to Middleweight to stay competitive.
