rather than breaking everything down, just giving my picks for tomorrow nights fights.. maybe with a brief tidbit of info here and there

-Mirko CroCop Filopovic vs. Eddie Sanchez - sorry eddie, crocop by KO, round 1.. i give sanchez a chance, but barely..

-Anderson Silva vs. Travis Lutter - fight is going to go between sprawls and clinches back and forth, maybe lutter gets a takedown once, but then silva knocks him out.. silva by KO, round 1 or MAYBE round 2..

-Quinton Jackson vs. Marvin Eastman - jackson by stoppage in round 2, eastman is game, but jackson wont be stopped by him

-Roger Huerta vs. John Halverson - great matchup, huerta by decision

-Scott Smith vs. Patrick Cote - smith has the better standup, no idea about his ground game, but cote likes to bang.. smith by KO or stoppage in round 2

-Ryoto Machida vs. Sam Hoger - upset of the night.. hoger by decision.. mark my words..

-Tyson Griffin vs. Frank Edgar - griffin by submission or TKO in round 1.. griffin is the next big LW

-Jorge Rivera vs. Terry Martin - martin by late KO or decision

-Dustin Hazelett vs. Diego Saraiva - hazelett by submission (triangle choke probably) in round 1

just my two cents for discussion if anybody has any opinions

Sorry. Missed this post until now.

Silva vs. Lutter - Couldn't have been more deserved. Lutter spoiled the point of the entire Middleweight portion to TUF 4 by not making weight. Having his BJJ beaten by Silva's BJJ and losing by submission is what he deserved. Bravo Anderson Silva. Bravo.

Rampage vs. Eastman - Not as much of a slugfest as I thought, but Rampage by KO in the first two rounds. Pretty predictable.

Cro Cop vs. Sanchez - Cro Cop's REPUTATION beat Sanchez. He was too terrified of Cro Cop to mount any kind of reasonable offense. That wasn't a fight. It was Tim Sylvia's wake-up call.

Cote vs. Smith - I'm glad Cote won. I'm disappointed it was by decision. It should have been by KO in the second. No excuse for that one. Cote has the talent to be great, but he lacks the instinct to finish a fight.

And since I'm here, PREDICTIONS FOR UFC 68:

Sylvia vs. Couture - I want Couture to win. I believe Sylvia will win. Most likely by decision.

Hughes vs. Lytle - Token fight for Hughes. Lytle has no chance. Hughes by TKO in the first round.

Franklin vs. MacDonald - Token fight for Franklin, however MacDonald has surprised the world before. If MacDonald wins, it will be by submission. If not, Franklin by KO/TKO.

Lambert vs. Sobral - Token fight to get Babalu back on track. He'll take it by submission in the first round.

i agree with pretty much everything you say.. i think sylvia will take it by decision, even though every part of me wants randy to take him out.. i think macdonald could submit franklin, but he has to get him down first.. if franklin comes back on top of his game, itll end in a KO, no doubt.. sobral will definately take it by submission in the first..

the only part i disagree on is the hughes/lytle fight.. nobody gives lytle any credit.. im not saying i think he WILL beat hughes, but he COULD.. hughes is not going to just plow through him.. lytle has a great pro boxing record, he has been in with top competition, he neutralized matt serra's jiujitsu (the only thing i give serra credit for) for 3 rounds, and he never quits.. hughes' striking is average at best, and he has decent jiujitsu.. his strength has always been just that, his strength.. if he takes lytle down right away and pounds him out, it will be a short night.. but i dont see it happening.. i think this has the potential to be a great fight

How many people hear want to see Crocop fight Arlovski? That would be a great fight to watch.Mirko would probably be the favorite to win by all rights but Arlovski definately has good chance to beat him.

Definately, but only after CroCop takes the belt off Sylvia. A fight like CroCop vs. Arlovski could only be bst enjoyed if there was a belt on the line.

I would actually like to see Couture become the champ.Even seeing him fighting one of those guys would be great.I think this next year is going to be packed with great fights in all the divisions.I am also looking forward to see Hughes fight GPS again.I like both fighters but I would like to see Matt on top again.
