Uh oh...they're on to us!

The nerve of those Vanilla people; thinking they can just play us like that !

LOL!

Makes you wonder how they find out. Does their computer detect ticklephiles viewing their photos? Hmmm.

I can only imagine they are being hounded thru emails to show more tickling. This is the 2nd link with photos where the author makes comments directly to us.

I bet DK is right, one of the less socially ept among us probably sends them an email. But it could also just be web tracking, because sometimes they show referral links from search engines that define the terms used to get there. We use it on the TMF too, it's a free service and if you go to the main page www.ticklingforum.com and click on the little blue icon on the bottom right of the page (I'm not sure if it's a planet or a molecule or the iris of the guy who owns the company or what), then click on referral tracking 2 you can see what search terms most often bring people here.

It always cracks me up that so many people, almost eight thousand right now, found us by our reckless use of the word "the".

Which is probably how people feel when they post home photos and 200,000 people find them through the word tickling now that I think about it 🙂

I don't want to go off on a rant here...but that is why about twice a year I ask people to just enjoy the photos and leave the nice people who post them alone. One time someone contacted me and said some folks were bothering her and that link got removed immediately, but lets just remember to be nice and people will continue to surprise us with these real life pictures!

that's exactly what happened...some dude(s) probably email-bombed the chick behind that webpage. Yes it was wrong. Yes, I would be creeped out too if I learned a bunch of dudes were jacking off to my picture. And Yes, tickle dudes like us should know enough not to cross boundaries...

HOWEVER, I dont care for the tone of the caption (I hope you tickle fetish people are happy) implying that we are some sort of modern day Leper Colony. Hey PlainJane.com chick:

You obviously want/love/need attention if you CONSTANTLY put your picture on the interent! Stop pretending that you do not!!!

And if you are so creeped out by "tickle fetish people" why would you put up YET ANOTHER picture featuring tickling!?!?!

Actually Deniro, "I hear things" (sorry couldn't resist that)...anywho: I actually took it very good naturedly. If they were bobmbarded they still put up another one and hoepfully found it more curious than disturbing...I'm not about to write and find out! LOL!

Most web servers - certainly the two most popular - Apache and IIS - have log entries that will capture the "referring url" if you want it to. The statistics can then be processed and will show where most of a sites visitors found the link. This is used to analyse how visitors enter and use your site.

Dunno, but if they really want us to be happy I'd suggest they loose about 35 lbs a person.

Whoooa lets not have a sense of humour bypass people. I thought their little caption was meant to be good humoured and tongue in cheek (as was my little comment). Although I agree entirely with Jeff and Toyou, it would be extremely stupid/sad (and make us all look like as such) if anyone was to start emailing them.

Well, he was a good sport after all. That caption didn't say "tickle freaks" or anything derogatory. 😀

If anybody were really [and I mean, really really for reals] to send an email, I'd suggesting sending something good-natured, just to show tickle-philes can accept a friendly in-joke. 🙂

That's very interesting, Jeff. I didn't know this. 🙄
