UK Gathering not looking good...

It was always going to be this way. At previous American gatherings it's not been unusual for 3 ladies to attend with 10 or 12 guys.
Gatherings like NEST are the only places where this issue is not a problem. It's a case of carefully screening the attendees and only allowing a certain quota I'm afraid. Failing that, it'll just be concentrating on 1-1 meets.
No-one can say you havn't tried as hard as anyone could possibly do Diva. How do you think you'd proceed from here?

I'm a woman, and I'm interested in attending a gathering! The man/woman ratio doesn't bother me, since I'd be coming with BOFH666 (protect me, sweetie? Just kidding😀). I'm sorry I didn't chime in before, but if you guys still want to get something going you can count us in.

I'd personally come along, and to be honest with you, if there's a huge male/female ratio, chances are I'd be just a mere passive observer. I think there are many more people who are friskier and eager to tickle than I am!

Getting an even ratio or even close of M to F is very tough and takes work time and effort.
Besides, those wimpy wusette English gals are too shy to attend a "gathering"!😛 😉 🙄

It is always expected that there will be more M to F if you post about a general gathering.
Takes planning to get the guest list close to even.
At WORST, there should be at LEAST 2, 3 or 4 women present even if there are double the M's at a "gathering", all depending on the gathering or party or get together of course.

Here is a set of rules, adapted from those furnished to me by DVNC and Mimi, both of them experienced hosts. They sound a bit stern, but the idea is that people's safety is looked after. Diva wants this to be a sucess and I want it to be for her sake, because she's really putting herself out here. So don't be put off if it sounds stern, we're just doing our best to make sure everyone gets a damn good time in safety.
1. You must be 18 years of age or older to attend. ID's will be checked at the door as needed.
2. Consumption of alcoholic beverages will be banned at the actual site. Anyone who gets out of hand will be removed from the premises.
3. Drugs of any kind (with exception to those medically necessary) are absolutely prohibited, and anyone who has drugs in their possession will be asked to leave immediately.
4. Weapons are absolutely prohibited. Anyone who has weapons in their possession will be asked to leave immediately.
5. Camera's are allowed, but some people are camera shy, so you must get permission from anyone you wish to photograph, before taking pictures.
6. You must respect the privacy of everyone in attendance, and all personal identities must remain within the party.
7. You must obtain permission from any person you wish to play with beforehand.
8. While the Host/Hostess, and attending DM's will do their best to ensure a safe and secure playing atmosphere, you alone are responsible for your own well-being, and you must agree to release the Hosts and DM's of any liability.
9. All rules, boundries, and safewords set forth by ticklee's MUST be obeyed. Anyone not respecting the rules set forth by all participating ticklee's will be removed from the premises immediately.
10. Anyone acting in a manner that is rude, unsafe, dangerous, or careless will be removed from the premises immediately.
BAST Definitions
DM's (Dungeon Monitors): Dungeon Monitors are people who have been selected and appointed by the gathering Host/Hostess to oversee all sessions, and to enforce the rules of the gathering. They have been selected based on their gathering experience and knowledge. They have the right to remove anyone from the gathering who acts in a manner that is unruly or unsafe, and all rules set forth by them MUST be obeyed. If you have a question, or if someone at the gathering is giving you trouble, please report to a DM and they will handle it.
Sessions/Scene's: These are the public tickling events. Anyone who receives permission from the volunteering ticklee may join in on the session, or may sit and watch the session take place.
Private Sessions/Scene's: These are tickling sessions that take place in designated private areas. Only parties who have agreed to participate in a private session will be allowed in the room during the duration of the session.
Safeword's: A safeword is a word or phrase established by the volunteering ticklee before a session begins. If the ticklee says their established safeword at ANYTIME during the session, all tickling must halt immediately. Safewords are established to alert the participating Ticklers of any trouble the ticklee may be experiencing. Safewords may be spoken when the ticklee is having trouble breathing, is having pain, need a drink, need a bathroom break, or simply can not take anymore. No matter the reason why a ticklee says their safeword, it MUST be respected. No questions asked.
Bondage: The bondage used at a gathering can vary. Quite often it consists of a 4 point restraint, by means of leather and/or nylon wrist and ankle cuffs. Other forms of bondage may be used, providing they are safe and comfortable for the ticklee. Any ticklee has the right to accept or refuse the use of bondage during their sessions.
Toys/Tools: These are tickling implements often used during sessions. They can consist of feathers, hair brushes, toothbrushes, small makeup or paint brushes, feather dusters, lotions, pipe cleaners, etc. Basically anything that can bring on a ticklish reaction, that will not cause any discomfort to the ticklee. Only toys or tools approved by the volunteering ticklee may be used during their sessions.

The next BAST gathering we have planned is for late summer, possibly September. We backed it up a few weeks to make sure we missed the holiday season. Check out the UKTF for information and feel free to join and post. The "A" in BAST stands for affiliated, because we like to welcome everyone who's passing even remotely close to Britain, not just Brits themselves. The more the merrier as they say!
There's currently a thread in Tickling Discussion on the UKTF that is about what we're going to do next. As an American who could possibly be in Britain for our summer party, please join in and post any ideas or thoughts you have, even if it's only to introduce yourself.
