This is my first post opening up about my fetish and a little bit of the history behind it.

Going back, my first memory of "interest" in tickling happened when I saw a performance of the Sawing a Woman in Half trick on a TV magic show. As sometimes happens, at one point in the performance the magician tickled the assistants feet on the other side of the stage to "prove" they were hers. I'm not going to go into the details of how the trick (or this particular version) are performed, just know that this is where it all began for myself.

Occasionally, when I find myself in a book store, I often look to see if there are any books about magic/stage illusions in the slim hope of finding something about the Sawing In Half trick. Today was a first. Not only did I find a book giving in depth history in the performance of stage illusions, but it also gave an overview/quasi instructions on the performance of these illusions. Sure enough, there was a section about Sawing a Woman in Half. It mentioned that, after the assistant had been secured in the box, her feet should be tickled to show that they are indeed hers. (There is also a cute cartoonish drawing of a lady tapped in the box with her bare feet sticking out the other end, written above this paragraph). Later on in the section, it states that the tickling is often repeated after the boxes are separated.

This is the only written example of tickling being used in this trick that I've ever seen in a non-erotic/fetish context.

Anyway, the idea of a woman being trapped in a box (or similar situation) with only her head and feet visible to be tickled is still my favorite tickling scenario. This was a pleasant surprise today.

Any idea of when the book was first published? Is this a vintage book, a new book, etc. There's definitely behind-the-scenes videos of the trick; the ones I've seen all have fake legs & feet, though.

As for how the tick is performed. Yes, many versions unfortunately use fake feet. But there are many versions that don't. Some feature the actual assistants feet initially until they are switched out (the way Doug Henning performs the trick) as well as versions that feature the real feet of another assistant in the other half of the box (Bill Bixby, for example). Similar illusions such as cutting in thirds, modern art, and zig-zag do feature the assistants actual feet.

Some of my favorite tickling videos are still the old Tickling Paradise videos using the Sawing in Half/magic role play. It this case, those are the models feet being tickled! Quality Control also has some nice videos featuring ladies having their feet tickled while trapped in a box.

I love the old Paradise Vision magic clips, too, all of 'em. And thanks for explaining! Specifically about Doug Henning and Bill Bixby, both of whom I've seen do the trick (when I was a kid!)

Believe it or not, I was a "pen pal" for a while with a famous actress who had done the trick on a Doug Henning show. I told her how I'd seen that as a kid and got her to talk about it. She told me that she was definitely not actually getting tickled, it's pretty funny. I wish I could talk more about that, actually! She's still alive so.....maybe when she's gone I'll tell that story in detail.

Anyways.....what do you think is going on in the Adriana Lima picture that I attached? Mannequin peds? Or ticklish assistant's feet? lol.

That's a really good pic. But alas, I'm pretty sure those are fake feet unfortunately. Her smile/laugh looks cute though!

This is a fetish of mine as well (sub-fetish?). Any centercut illusion, its the woman's feet. The death saw illusion, that's two women. I've seen a new variation pop up where now the magician puts the bisected bottom half on a pallet, rolls the pallet via a palletjack closer to the audience, and lets an obvious member touch the feet after he's pulled off the socks.

I've seen three versions that do exactly this (Steve Wyrick + two different Asian magicians (one named Denny)). And I've seen a fourth where an Italian magician did it to a woman already barefoot.

You are not alone! This was a fetish I didn't know I had until around 2015 or so. Now I'm kind of a "connoisseur" of these videos. So much so that I can pretty much recognize any of the "good" ones from their thumbnails alone on YouTube. lol

Anyway, my absolute favorite one is this live recording of some Italian magician who separates his assistant into thirds in a giant metal drum. He tickles her feet before he removes the centerpiece, he brings a boy up on stage to tickle them again after, (and the kid really digs in, he's having a ball), and finally he tickles them a third time after the woman's "head" has been wheeled offstage. That poor second assistant definitely earned her tree-fiddy that day.

If I had remembered I was in this thread I would have put up the link but Phineas took care of you. 🙂 Yeah that's Erix Logan. Easy to remember (Eric - c + x = Erix).

Also in that list is the Frederic Clement video that was oddly blocked in my country (USA) for a while but unblocked now for some time. I love that illusion and wonder why THAT hasn't been copied to death like the Death Saw Palletjack illusion.

I have a couple of different versions of that clip tucked away on my hard drive, including an HD copy. I don't speak German, but one of the clips' filenames is "Siebenstein". I don't know if that's the name of the series or just some random word meaning "wank to this", but it's a start.

Now I remember, "Siebenstein", that's is all I needed. The name of the show is in fact "Siebenstein" and I think its still on the air: the latest ep aired last year.

The woman playing the main character (the one in the clip) is a recast (the original actress was there from the beginning (1989) to 2003), the new actress from 2004 to the present. Using the time when the new actress took over, and the German word for Magician, the name of the ep is called "Rudi Rudolfini" and it aired in December 2006.
