Okay, which upcoming bouts are everyone looking forward to?
First on my list is the upcoming match between Couture/Minotauro.Two very accomplished grapplers at their respective disciplines, legends, this fight is gonna be great.I'm not predicting Minotauro to win but that's who I'm pulling for.My only gripe with this fight is that it is only 3 rounds. If there isn't a definitive stoppage or if it isn't a one sided blowout it will be a shame to not see rounds 4 and 5.
Next is the Shogun/Machida bout in October.I know the majority of the population is giving Shogun no chance but I think fight is gonna be amazing.Shogun always brings it.His fights are never boring, even the Coleman fight where he was obviously gassed,he never stopped moving forward.Machida has shown to be a counter monster and Shogun doesn't stop going forward, there is no way this fight will be anything but spectacular. As far Machida, theres not much to say but the guy is on another level. It may not last long, but for its duration its gonna be exciting.I'm a fan of both guys but I have liked Shogun for longer so I am pulling for him.
Believe it or not I am looking forward to seeing Tito/Coleman as well. This fight is more of a spectacle but its all good. It'll be interesting to see what Tito has after the long layoff.I'm curious to see Tito's gameplan for that fight.I can't recall Coleman ever being out wrestled and thats usually Titos game.Obviously Titos stand up,which isn't exactly world class,is still far superior to Colemans. The grappling possiblities intrigue me for that fight.
Honorable mentions could also be Maia/Marquardt,Crocop/Dos Santos,Carwin/Velasquez.I wanna see Crocop fight Lesnar next.Does he deserve a title shot? No.Will he win?Maybe.Regardless, that's the fight I wanna see Lesnar in.So hear's hoping Crocop can get a desperately needed win against Dos Santos.I would also like to see Fedor fight anybody at this point.
What is everyone looking forward to seeing?
Snail, sorry about the prediction pool this year.Injuries have kept me off of the computer for the majority of the year. How is your percentage doing?
