Well, if you read two other specific threads last night, then you know why this update comes delayed (server maintenance), but thankfully only in hours, not days.

In any event, here is the third installment in my Witch Hunter Robin parody. In keeping with the plot of the story I have created for it and the sequence of the pictures, Robin has now removed both socks and is now in an all or nothing situation.

Before she could stall the witch with a single barefoot and a feather, and then a moment later with another foot, but now she has no socks left, and is realizing the inevitable, what more can she say but "enjoy..."

Indeed. Enjoy this picture. It is my fourth attempt at coloring with Paintshop, and I'm happy to say things are more crisp in this one. I've made some additions to the picture that weren't in the previous ones, such as a lightsource (which fits the shadowing on Robin and the chair well, and a long hallway with a presumed door at the end. By adding this it gives the environment more substance I think, and implies that she is perhaps in a warehouse district or in such a place where walls are spackled, barren and make up long halls (this is a slight change from the abandoned apparent idea, but ultimately I don't think it takes away from the pictures or the plot). I think the hallway also helps add to Robin's helplessness. The fact she is all alone with this guy and the hallway appears to be so long that its dark at the other end with no door in sight adds to the situation and the fact that she's in deep and possibly over her head.

It is in this picture that I wished to express that she's pretty much given up on trying to stall, but is still smart enough to prop her feet up on the chair's armrest like that to keep his attention focused on her and her feet. She knows what she has to do, or rather, what she has to allow. In the previous pictures there were different emotions, but in this one there was both a surrenderance (not out of will but of duty which makes this an interestingly different situation), and a firm resolve to get through it.

I know its hard to see what APPEARS as a light-hearted sitution seriously or with any level of danger, but again, it is very real. And this situation on one hand is pleasant for us to see and for the witch, but is a source of anxiety for her. There is a reason I keep stressing this, and it will make more sense going into what I have planned as the final picture(s).

Enjoy. And for those that took the time to read this, thank you. You're better off for it. ^__^

😀 I like how you have softened the colour of her skin. I like her purple lipstick as well. Her eyes are pretty as well. The soft look to her skin on her face makes it look more life-like. I like the added touch of the reflection and shadow on her soles. She has cute feet. I wonder if they are ticklish. 😛 The highlights on her costume/clothes and the light source is a nice touch. 😀

Thanks alot buddy. ^____________^

And actually, her lipstick is black, not purple.

EDIT: Are her feet ticklish? Only one way to find out. 😱

😛 Her bottom lip is mauve while her top lip is black. We are both right. 😛 😀

Actually, she isn't wearing any lipstick on her bottom lip. I simply made it a little glossy so it would stand out better and maker her upper and lower lips more pronounced.

EDIT: Are you sure you aren't mistaking her tongue for her upper or lower lip? Her mouth IS open you know, and her tongue IS visible. Ans she IS speaking you know. 😛

😀

It's her tongue. She has a mauve tongue and a glossy white lower lip.

When you use spraycan tool in Paint Shop what settings do you use with it?

😀

Yes, now you are seeing it correctly. I didn't mean for it to confuse you...I thought it looked obvious enough.

As for what settings I use, it varies on what section or piece I am coloring.

🙂 How about for the shadow and highlights on the soles. 🙂

That also varies depending on what sort of effect I am trying to achieve. Theres the look that light is shining on them (like on parts of her feet in this picture) and theres the look of tones and skin textures mixed with shadows (something I also added to the picture(s) to make things more realistic).

No matter how you color the feet (or any part of the body's skin for that matter), its important to never just use one flat tone and leave it at that. Because if you do it makes the skin look pasty, flat, and one-dimensional which is something you DO NOT want.

I'd suggest using a mixture of things and fiddling around with the options and tools until you get what you want or what is satisfactory enough for you.

Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to position the feet at different angles. It makes it appear that they have free range of motion.

Any other questions, rajee? You might as well ask now.

Yup, this one is a shameless bump. If I don't, this thread will continue to drop down the list when old topics are brought back and new ones are posted. Well, my thread is new too, and its not like my art sucks, so enough with the excuses, I'm bumping it. At least this way I know more people will see the picture, whether or not they have something to say about it. Note, I'm not accusing anyone of intentionally ignoring me since I know that wouldn't happen ( 🙄 ), but it is very possible that this thread got bumped down so fast people overlooked it. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. 😛

Also, this is the first time I've ever had to do this, and this is the first time it was ever an issue where a thread of mine got bumped down so quick that it went off the radar. Sorry, but this thread isn't even a complete day old and I didn't draw this picture for nothing. I'm not going to let it die just yet.

And besides, all of the artists here bump their threads from time to time anyways. So its not like it would be wrong for me to do it. 😛

😀 I read and responded to your new update. I will take your advice and find a way to incorporate to my next cartoon.
I got your Deviant Art messages.

There is no shame in multiple posting to threads, including your own. You do what you got to. If you check the users online list, there are usually visitors checking out both art forums.

😀

I left messeges on deviantart? When? Oh, you must mean the replies to the piece. I'm so used to now, on DA, refering to messeges as private and comments as something else.

As for double posting or even triple posting, or even quadruple posting, yes I agree with you, but technically people would complain that it is an eyesore if its a thread no one wants to see anymore. But technically, that wouldn't apply here, and technically its not like a regular discussion thread, its an art thread with a picture as the centerpiece.

As far as whose watching and whose not, on the online list, well, its nice that a lurker would watch me, but what good does that do me, or you, or anyone else? Unless they become a member then it doesn't matter because theres a very good chance you will never hear from them ever. So they technically don't exist in a tangible sense until they make it so. I'm not underestimating the lurkers though.

In fact, I get people all the time e-mailing and IMing me telling me they've enjoyed my work for such a long time, and its news to me.

Anyways, to restate the point, my art is good, and people responded favorably to the first two pictures in this parody. I'm therefore assuming that this thread just got bumped down TOO soon. Like I said, my art doesn't suck, and its not an eyesore, so I think people will forgive me for doing this. Because I really don't like having to do this.

Thanks. I'm glad you like them. They are the focus of the picture, afterall. Well, that and her embarassed expression.

I'm sure some people are wondering when theres going to be some tickling, and the next one will have tickling. As a parody however I wanted to tell a story and show progressive pictures leading up to it. And thats what I've done. To have done it any other way wouldn't make it as special. I think theres more anticipation in the build up this way.

Glad to hear it. 🙂

And how are you and your step-daughter doing?

Very good. She's currently in Wisconsin with her Grandparents.
By the by, do yourself a treat and check out my stories in the Posting stories section.

I'm glad to hear that. Thats nice. ^__^

Sure, I think I'll do that. Any particular story you would recommend?

Both of them, of course. But if I had to choose one over the other, I'd pick "Hopewell's Last Confession." I put a certain effort into it and it's special to me. That and the fact that nobody's commented on it. Do you ever get that sometimes, posting a drawing and you get no feedback at all? You have no idea what people think of it.

Oh, I know what some people think. But its all very political around here for one reason or another, and they are too proud to come into my threads and admit any truth, because they know that its a form of attention, and there are particular people here and on Tickletheater (basically the same people, but on two different sites) that want to deny me that attention for any given reason or because they figure perhaps that it will discourage me and I might leave or stop posting.

Thats the only reason I could think of for treating me this way. I know it has nothing to do with my art or the quality of it and they are ignoring me in spite of my good art. Its about me, even less than that, its about my attitude and their inadequacies to deal with it in a positive manner. There are too many people here that fester and brood and leave nothing behind them. Only a small portion of the ones I talk to are big enough to put any animosity aside and just appriciate the art.

So I'd say our situations are almost entirely different for different reasons when it comes to lack of responses, Duanne.

You, as an author however, are at an even greater disadvantage than I. At least with me all they have to do is view a picture. That takes like what...a few seconds or maybe more depending on whether or not they plan to critique or comment on it.

But with you, if they aren't hooked by the first paragraph, they give up. At least with me its instant involvment. With a story you have to read it before you gradually like or dislike it.

So I know how you feel, very much so, though I have it far less worse than you do.
I'll give your stories a read when I can.

How are you yourself doing however? Or did you already answer that? 🙂

CE, you are taking what goes on here too personally. The reason why not many members reply to artwork because they might not have an opinion on artwork or their shy or they are being polite and artwork is not their cup of tea. Since there is no rules that all members must post and reply on the forum, many will view and some will reply. You never know some TMF artist may surprise you someday by replying.
If you submit artwork for adulation or for people's approval, you will be disappointed almost always. If you post because you enjoy doing so and you are passionate about your artwork then you will be a 100% success always.
😀

I'm not talking about random people. You know that. What I said doesn't cover everyone, but rather, a fringe group with their own personal reasons for doing what they do. Thats all I was explaining to Duanne as PART of the reason one, or at least I, could expect less replies or none at all at times (not that it ever happens that I get no responses).

As for your quote, I actually don't appriciate it very much, that you would assume or question why I post my artwork in the first place. I am 150% successful, all the time. I don't measure success in the number of responses I get, I measure success in my own personal satisfaction of how well I drew the picture and how much raising of the bar I did, and lately, I've been doing a fine job of it.

I'd be a success even if no one responded. The fact I'm so proud of myself is what keeps me going. Alot of artists don't have the self-esteem that I do, and they are quickly swallowed up and taken down by critiques and the like. Not me, and I'm at a big disadvantage in that the genre of tickling/fetish work is not my fortay. I'm a constant on this forum though, and I'm an exception to the rule that alot of artists are meek and humble. I'm opinionated and strong willed, but otherwise friendly and approachable. You know that, otherwise you wouldn't be able to talk to me like this. I get by because I believe in myself. I also have the benefit, like many artists do, of being multi-talented and being able to draw more than just this tickling/fetish stuff. The people that focus most of their time and energies on this subject (or any one subject) are more likely to be hurt because they are putting their artistic hopes into one genre, their eggs in one basket.

I think that if a person were to avoid me, a complete stranger, then it must be because they are either too shy, don't know what to say, are intimidated by my talent, are intimidated by my strong will, or both, or think that what they have to say won't make any difference at all or won't be worth much. But thats not true. I appricate and welcome new people and what they have to say. If I was the opposite I wouldn't get along with anyone, and I probably wouldn't even share my work.

Don't get me started, rajee. 😛

All I was doing was explaining to Duanne the differences and now look at it. 48 Hours Investigates, again?! 😛
