Mmmm...the little sweat mark in the sandal...nice touch...

Keep up the good work

Libtick

Thanks libtick, we aim to please.

I like doing color holds on stuff like that. It gives you a much more subtle effect. I'll be doing more of that on the pinups. Sometimes we're under such a deadline that I don't have the time to do it in VU. That should be changing this year.

The pinups are a lot more sensual than anything we've done in the past. Plus FTKL just keeps getting better and better. It will have a slightly higher selling price, but it's worth it. Ten hot images with no meat by-products or soy bean meal. 😀

Keep the faith!

The issues of VU have gotten better each time, so I'm eagerly awaiting this newest endeavour! I've noticed the subtle improvements in areas like lighting effects over time, making an excellent work even better. Best of luck finishing!

-Kunzite

Thanks Kunzite,

A lot of it comes down to time. Although I had been playing around with computer color for some time, all my DC work was done by hand. It wasn't until I started doing imdependent comics that I went to all computer. Mostly I use the airbrush because it's faster and easier to use. It's fine for online stuff since it's not intended to be printed. That's a whole other set of rules.

Most printed comics on the market today have a "Painted" layered look. Finer softer details with the computer airbrush tool won't get picked up in the seperation process. We had that problem back on the old Hawkman series. Airbrushed cloud effects came out looking like glow worms. Layering color helps by pass that. The type of paper used also makes a difference, but that's another story🙂

We don't like making people wait for issues so when one gets close to being finished time is a factor. On the month that a book comes out we like to have at least one to two full weeks for it to be on the market. On some of the finer details it can take a long time to make sure the black line art is clean enough (on a pixilated level) to do a color hold. If its clean, it can take just a few minutes. If not it can take an hour or two just to do say, the sole of the foot. As the end of the month gets closer I have to make a judgement call on each effect.

As I've said before though, with our schedules freeing up, we can put more effort into the work. I'm still trying to study for an appraisers exam, I help take care of my elderly parents, and I have an ebay business. I really need a real time machine to add more hours in a day. 🙄

Oh well!

BZ Tickler

Thanks guys! The pinup book will leave you breathless and kinda show the "shape of things to come" in VU. And wait til you see Koo's new outfit...

Peace!

Do the drawings in the Pinup book feet-ure tickling, or are they just drawings of the characters? thanks

TickleChgo asked "Do the drawings in the Pinup book feet-ure tickling, or are they just drawings of the characters? thanks"

That is an excellent question, I too want to know what tickling if any is contained in the pinup book. I am not complaining, but the pinup book is 10 pages for $5 more than a normal VU issue (which is 10 to 12 pages packed with foot tickling, YUM). Also I have been a loyal fan and have purchased every issue. I have been extremely happy with the content. But Caveat emptor.

So the big question is what do I get for $19.95 or approx. $2 per page?

Thanks,

thedude

Nine out of ten pages feature all out tickling action. I’m talking full page color illustrations with lavish attention to detail. The one pinup without actual tickling is a gorgeous anticipatory scene that will not disappoint.

Fans of the Vellicatrices Unlimited comic series will find the Pinup Book to have the same high quality art and over the top tickling action they have come to expect from FTKL & BZ Tickler.

Dude, you should know us better than that. 😀

Any pinup book that we do will be tickling-action driven. There is one anticipation pic, but it's tasty. The work justifies the price. Even in a 10 page book (which we're sticking with from now on) there won't always be something on every page. There will be in the pinup books. Each book like this will be 10 full splash pages of tickling or teasing with very little dialogue to get in the way of the art.

The up coming Julie McGee Adventures in Time pinup book will be laid out the same way. 10 full tickling illustrations with no meat by-products or soy bean meal!

The VU source book will be a little different. A lot of people have asked for better access to the bios etc on the characters in order to better keep up with the whole project. That book will feature new bios, gaget illustrations and new tickle art, but we won't put a full price on it. It's just going to be a fun book to have.

We feel by now people know what to expect from us. We're very much aware of what kind of book we're putting out so we try to cram as much action or teasing into every issue. We've also has some input from fans that want to see more build up to action, so there will be more teasing shots along the way. Does that mean less action? No, it just means we have to cram more good stuff in 10 pages.

Page count is another point I want to bring up. Since FTKL is goint to step into the artist's seat on the Adventures in time book, we're gong to keep ourselves on a tighter schedule. With that said we're going to be keeping issues to 10 pages. Every extra page keeps us further away from starting another issue.

We're also going to keep ads down to a minimum and just show the upcoming cover. That's for a variety of reasons. Most of which is speed. Artistically we're a two man team. We now have two books that we're going to be keeping up with and we don't want a repeat of last year where we only got out two issues. That was nuts and we're really sorry about that.

It's going to be a busy year and we're really going to have to keep our noses to the grindstone to stay on track. I can promise you though that everythiung we do will be as tasty and as action packed as we can make it. We just don't want to over-hype it. When the day comes that we really start taking short cuts , leaving the fans shorthanded 🙄 we'll quit doing it.

Many thanks TickleChgo and the dude for your support all this time, and to all the other fans out there who support us by buying the products we sell. We hope you're never disappointed.

Keep the faith

BZ Tickler

BZTickler/MTJpub,

Gentlemen,

Please understand that my question meant NO disrespect. I just wanted to understand what kind of content was being offered. The cover was interesting from an anticipation concept but did not give much information away either way. Remember Foot tickling rules.

Anyway, please do not think I was being critical, in fact, I have already placed my order.

thedude

I know that Dude, that's why I used the big smiley face.

We're being really careful with covers lately. The covers will give hints to the story lines within, but we will be keeping action covers to a minimum. We're also going to be keeping a lot of the interior art a secret from now on epecially with the time travel book. That's to build up suspense until the last minute since the time ship gets damaged in issue 2. You never will quite know where the girls will end up until the cover hits.

We will start giving a synopsis for each issue as it comes out so you will have an idea about the story content. That should help. We'll do that instead of a rating scale. As I've already said, we will cram as much action in as the story and 10 pages will allow.

As always our focus is on barefoot tickling, but we will be doing more with upperbody as well.

We'll keep everyone informed as each project comes out.

Keep the faith

BZ Tickler

I am definitely into barefoot tickling but I noticed that you used some RHT (Reinforced heel and toe) stockings on the German woman. Now that is totally awesome. RHTs are the best. How about a little more of that. I know one of the maid wears stockings but those are Full Fashion.

Anyway, more RHT foot tickle torture, please.

Boy, I know way too much about this, huh. LOL

thedude

We'll see what we can do Dude. Personally neither FTKL nor I are into hose, but we know there are fans of it out there. There will still be characters in our universe that will wear them so we will do more of it.

BZ Tickler

Raul, TickleChgo, thedude and everyone else,

Thank you very much for your questions and concerns and support. Please know that our universe is not so set in stone that we are not open to suggestions. And 'ditto' to so many things that BZ has said in previous posts.

But, just to clear up a couple things, be assured that everything we put out will feature new tickling art, in varying degrees. "VELLICATRICES UNLIMITED: SOURCEBOOK 1; THE TICKLERILLION" (I couldn't resist the Tolkienesque title!) feet-ure some new tickling art, new costumes, as well as updated (and corrected) bio info. The "Adventures in Time" Pinup book, coming after issue #7 of VU, will feature tickling scenarios from one end of the time stream (i.e.-the Renaissance) to the other (i.e.- the Buck Rogers, far-flung future). We'll be busy, but we won't be letting you down!

As for more RHT, dude, there will be much more of it. In fact, VU's second storyline, focusing on the TBW (Tough Babes of Wrestling) will have a good bit of it. But, that won't be coming til at least the fall or winter of this year, once series 1 of VU is completed.

Anyway, enjoy the pinups and stay tuned!
~FTKL
