Dhalsim was pretty phat, I liked burning stuff with him. Guile would have to be the other, I can beat most beginners with them two.

It depends which version of SF2 your talking about...I have quite a few of them in perfect emulation...including the Rainbow Edition...don't u guys remember how ridiculous some versions could get...like if you were Ken u could do a power uppercut and like 6 fireballs would come out at the same time...in the Rainbow Edition I have I take Ken...you can project fireballs at different speeds...the slower ones are even heat-seeking...anywayz...🙂

I have never lost at any Street Fighter game. In fact, I've won some tournaments at the local arcade, but I am certainly not undefeatable. I am nearly certain someone out there can beat me.
I played guile in the original Street Fighter II and Vega in Champion's addition and all games past that. Vega as in the Spanish ninja, not Vega as in M. Bison's Japanese name.

I would have to say Chun Li, mainly because after using her as a recurring NPC in the Street Fighter pen-and-paper roleplaying game I ran over the course of two years, we all kinda grew attached to her. Ironic that her big death scene didn't play out as well as I'd liked... Cammy's actually came off better.
As to who I truly like, it's probably a toss-up between Vega (the Spanish Ninja) and Lord Bison himself. The anime did an excellent job of portraying Vega as a psychopath, and it made for a great character. And Bison... ya gotta love the supernatural psychotic megalomaniac dictator. It's a Vader thing. 🙂
Overall though, Sakura gets my vote for best character. She's such a riot to watch in-game, with her dancing, giggling, and gratuitous-panty-shot kicks.

As an avid Street Fighter player, though not the best, I'd say Rose is my favourite. Weird choice huh? As a character, she's well-designed. Mysterious, cool-headed and very sultry. As a fighter, she's a good jack-of-all-trades type, and a shoto-scrub's nightmare (she deflects projectiles). Her low Strong is also very dominant, and has excellent, high multi-hitting combos. I'm a poking type of player, so that's why I like her. I do however use as many characters as I can so I can be a non-cheap, all-round player.
Guile in SF2 was VERY cheap. Someone won a SF tournament with Guile by constant ticking (light attack followed by a throw). Ticking got banned from tournaments now. That and his ridiculously high-priority moves make Guile cheap. He was toned down much better late on and Charlie is still decent as well.

Vega definitely. I think he's still got one of the best character designs, good costume design, good personality design, he's unique you know. He's regal, majestic, refined, graceful, beautiful, handsome, strong, silent, deadly arrogant and all the other qualities he has round out his character in a satisfactory way.
He's always been my favorite and I've always played best as him. I'm almost never beaten and his moves compliment my style. His speed is amazing, and his claw gives him extra reach. He can also pull a swan dive out of nowhere, and he's got several tricks to get himself out of a bind.
The only thing I didn't/don't like about the character is the change of direction they gave him. He used to be cooler before, but in recent games he's just portrayed and degenerated into this perverted, mentally disturbed sicko whose into pain, and thats a big change from the original version of that proud, silent madador who can dispatch people like an assassin (though he still can). Alot of people assume he wears the mask because he's nuts or something, but real fans will know he wears the mask because he wants to keep his pretty face from being damaged, he's that vain and so the mask has become symbolic. Its to his advantage in combat though, as it sort of freaks his opponents out, that and his claw.
Even with these radical changes, he's still my favorite.

charlie in the storyline predates guile chronologically so it only makes sense his moves mirror that of guile

honorable antipathy goes to gouki/akuma because he is annoying and anyone who thinks they are good with using him are kind of dumb because he is like a novice player's character and if i used akuma as well i would beat them to smitherines, but i would also use rolento to defeat akuma anyway
