What are some of your favorites? I haven't played in a while, but I played through Dark Souls, part of Dark Souls II, Assassin's Creed (up to Revelations), L.A. Noire as well as some of the Final Fantasy series. I love anything with a good storyline, or in the case of Dark Souls a good challenge. Grand Theft Auto is also good for causing chaos, because I can't really do that in real life. 😉

I'm definitely with you on the Dark Souls and Final Fantasy series, Dark Souls and Final Fantasy's VI and IX being my favourite games. I also love playing through the Fallout series, Sonic the Hedgehog, Legend of Dragoon, the original Tomb Raider games, Harvest Moon (and by extension Stardew Valley), Super Smash Bros., Pokemon Gold, and Star Wars BattleFront II. I think that covers most of the big ones lol.

Ah Fallout. I've heard great things about that series. I'll have to check it out some day.

I've been on a gaming diet, prepping for the inevitable Fallout 4 binge I'll be rocking when the Far Harbor DLC comes out next week.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Using a cheat code to make Ramza a Sword Saint. Just trying killing me NOW Wiegraf! 😀

I recommend it! My personal favourite was New Vegas. I would get a playlist going on iTunes (didn't care much for the in game radio stations) and just wander the Mojave for hours doing what you do in Fallout games, solving problems and blowing things up 😛 . Was a fun time.

Blowing things up...dude, I'm sold. 🙂

Skyrim! Skyrimskyrimskyrim! Easily my favorite game in the whole wide world! 😀

I'd never consider my self a 'gamer', but I do enjoy a game with other people and have had many fun times playing games with friends.

If playing on my own, I like a game I can get fully immersed in, almost like a good book - the two that spring to mind are Grim Fandango and Starship Titanic.
Also, various incarnations of the Zelda series (on various platforms)

When it comes to playing with/against others, I can't get past happy retro days of playing MarioKart on the SNES and later on the N64 and later still on the Wii 🙂

Now that I've got children, I don't get to play games as often, as the TV is usually occupied, but I'm slowly making my way through my backlog of games that I never finished. Right now, I'm working through my old copy of Kingdom Hearts on PS2. Before that, I finished LoZ: Skyward Sword on the Wii. Whenever I finish KH, I'm not sure what I'm going to focus on next. Some of the ones I'm considering are:

-Final Fantasy XIII (never finished it, started over once to remember the story, and quit at Chapter 11.)
-Final Fantasy XII (never finished it, started over to remember the storyline, and quit once Skyward Sword came in the mail.)
-Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (see a theme?)
-the Walking Dead Survival Instinct
-Hyrule Warriors on 3DS (HUGE temptation, but I'll feel guilty ignoring older games.)

I would avoid Final Fantasy XIII altogether dude.

I heard their remaking Final Fantasy VII though. I hope the combat system will be turned based.

Due to my disability and poor eyesight I have an especially hard time keeping up with action rpg's. 🙁

I liked Final Fantasy XIII...it just took forever to play through.

Ah MarioKart! I still have a copy. I used to play it with friends. Will have to break it out soon. That was fun, even if I lost a lot. 😉
I'm about to pick up the new Star Fox after work. I was raised on Nintendo.

Haven't played that one. Nintendo was my main gaming system for a while until it died a slow death.

Nice list there! I take it you're a Final Fantasy fan? 😉

You could say that! 😉 However, I actually haven't finished many of them, including the *gasp* 'mandatory' VII. Two times I played my way through a good chunk of the game only to rage quit after memory card failures. I played through IX until the point where you're encouraged to grind through side quests before advancing (I hate those! I just want storyline! lol ) and quit. I DID beat X. I've tried to give the benefit of the doubt to XII, but hate the combat system. Also, the environment to me just somehow reeks of Star Wars prequels. I actually like the tragic world of XIII, with its societal conflicts the characters must overcome (similar to the 'this is just how life is' plot of X), but I'm in my second playthrough after starting over, and got to the point where the characters reached the huge, grassy plain with wild, ferocious beasts, with *ugh* the side quests of helping the c'ieth stones by going on fetch - murder quests. I really just want to advance the story without having to grind for hours to do so. As a working parent, my game time is limited, and I want it as fulfilling as possible. That's probably why I loved Skyward Sword and Okami as much as I did.

Huh? I don't remember having to do side quests to progress?

as for me, it would be quite a list, considering I've been a gamer since the old NES days.

but, as for now, I would have to say I'm into "Fallout 4" [but waiting on an update right now, so not played in over a week]

Been killing time with my 3DS and [now old] PSP with what few games I have for them.

It's been so long I barely remember what it pertained to. I think it dealt with finding different chocobos?

*Edit: I'm pretty sure I'm mixing my games up, actually. Looking back through readily available walkthroughs and online resources, I have no idea why I ever stopped playing IX--Oh, wait, **flips through game case** that's right, I don't HAVE it anymore. It got lend - swapped to somebody who never gave it back.

Anyone download the Far Harbor content for Fallout? I'm almost home from a trip and can't wait to get that shit goin'!

While in Denver this weekend, I visited the 1up (both locations) and played a shitload of pinball and House of the Dead.

Some of my favorites which I tend to replay a lot even though I beat it several times are the Arkham series, Mass Effect series, Elder Scrolls series, Witcher series, Assassin's Creed series, Forced Unleashed series, Fallout series, Final Fantasy series and few others. Mostly RPG's or action games between Xbox, PS2, PS3 and Xbox360. I don't own PS4 or Xbox One yet..but i will someday. Gotta continue my series streak y'know.
