Finally! We found a way to not completely fuck it all up in December!

And rather than backing in, the division was won outright. With the #3 seed and 4th best record in the NFC, I'm not so sure to completely count these guys out yet. For all of his early career troubles, Tavaris Jackson is finally becoming the QB we'd hoped he'd be...and with AP running the ball, one of the best O lines in the league and the NFL's best run defense for the third year running...the Vikings have as much of a chance as a certain Giants team did last year at 10-6 from the wild card spot.

Is it likely? No way in hell. Of course not. But, I remember last year, on this very forum..."No way the Giants get past the Packers AND the Cowboys."

I'm just happy we got in and won the division. At least that's something.

congrats although i think ur playoff run will be short lived seeing as you have to play the eagles but best of luck

Minny is frisky, may spoil some teams Super Bowl trips and parties.

Stop Westbrook and you stop the Iggles.

I just hope TJ keeps the Vikes alive as long as possible.

I'd hate for him to become more maligned than he already is.

Minny has always been one of the big choke teams. if they beat Philly next week, then i might start to be convinced.

Exactly. With the #1 run defense, we shouldn't have too much of a problem with an on-again-off-again Brian Westbrook. As much as I do like Donovan McNabb, he really doesn't scare me as as playoff QB, plus...his weapons are limited.

What would be nice, with the 3rd seed, is for them to beat the Eagles, then the next team, and have one of the wild cards bump off the 1 or 2...then we get the NFC championship at home. Not likely...but stranger things have happened these pasts several years. Remember kids...the last 3 (or is is 4?) Super Bowl champs have come from the Wild Card round....surprising the monkeyshit out of everyone.

And you're right...the Vikes are frisky. Consistency is the problem. When they're on, they can realistically match up against anyone.

I'm going to post this in more detail when I'm less drunk and have more time, but:

Minny will beat Carolina if they can beat Philly.

I don't see a way Carolina beats the Vikes, I just don't.

Only problem is...

I don't see how the Vikes will top Philly...

Yikes.

"If you're throwing a party to watch the Vikings' playoff game on that nice new high-definition television of yours, you might want to reconsider. Attending the game might be the only way to see it.

The Vikings announced Monday that approximately 20,000 tickets remain for Sunday's game against the Eagles at the Metrodome. That daunting number shouts out a very real possibility that the Vikings' first home playoff game in eight years will be blacked out in the Twin Cities and many secondary markets."

This wouldn't be happening if Dallas were coming to town. You reap what you sow.

they dont blackout playoff games

It'll only effect the market of the home team. It won't be blacked out for everyone, just for Minneapolis and a few other cities.

that makes the least sense.. why would blackouts effect the city the team is in and nowhere else.. the people in the city are more than likely the people who want to see it most.. i dont get it.. thankfully i never worry about blackouts .. good ol sunday ticket

The NFL thinks that if you really want to see the game then you can buy one of the available tickets. It's all about the money. You would think that they would suspend blackouts with the economy the way it is. That's the reason why so many tickets still remain. Why pay hundreds-of-dollars for something you can enjoy at home for free?
