Ok, I decided to start this thread to get ideas and opinions from Vikings fans on the return of Brett Favre and what you guys think their chances are this year. Will they make it to the the NFC Championship again, how about making it to the Superbowl this year? Now...please keep in mind Im just trying to have a nice friendly thread. I Don't want people coming in here and talking smack about Favre or the Vikings, if you don't like them thats fine, everybody is entitled to their opinions, just please keep it clean and friendly

Thank You.

As for what I think, I say Favre is coming back, He wants one more championship before he retires. The Vikings still have an amazing team, we did lose Chester Taylor who signed with the Bears and looks like Sydney Rice will be out for a little bit, But I still think the team has a great shot at making it to the NFC Championship game this year and going on to Win the Superbowl. The only way to find out is to watch, Im looking forward to a wonderful Football Season!!

What do you guys think??

You don't like me, so I won't reply to the thread. Oh...I guess I just did. :evileye:

Favre will return but for him to put up the numbers he did a year ago...well...I have to see it again. I don't believe they will be a bad team though. I think I would be more concerned with the mental makeup of AP after fumbling the ball three times in the NFC Championship Game. People talk about the rules and etc...but bottomline, Favre and the Vikings SHOULD HAVE been in the Super Bowl in regulation. It is stunning that they could give the ball away six times and still have an opportunity to win.

As I will say on the radio shows...if the Vikings stay healthy...they are legit. But I caution you FeatherMAN28, the Green Bay Packers are probably the team to beat in the NFC. But if healthy...your team will contend!

That is as nice I will get!

Hey man, it's been awhile, what you been up to? As for what you have stated here, I have to agree with you. AP needs to fix that fumbling problem, and Favre needs to play the same game as last season, but this time less Interceptions. I agree the Pack will be a challenge, the bears will be pretty good too, especially with the return of Urlacher, as for the Lions...bhahahaha

I think Minnesota's fate depends on how Favre plays. Minnesota and Green Bay will a tough competition. I think they'll both make the playoffs.

There are about four teams with a tremendous shot at playing in Super Bowl XLV in the NFC and I believe they all play each other this season, except a game between New Orleans and Green Bay.

AP must fix his fumbling problem and Farve must be willing to come out if he's getting his nuts busted. This season could be like the good ole black and blue days. Chicago isn't just going to roll over for the Vikes and Packers.

The Lions will win 6 games this season!

what i think is the Vikings don't match up well with any of the best of the AFC teams so a superbowl is out of the question.. frankly even with Favre the odds of the team being as good as last year are low, Favre wont have another season like that. Last year was their year and they blew it, i dont think they are even the best team in their division.. The following NFC teams are better than the Vikings

Cowboys

Saints

Packers

and possibly the Falcons

According to several sources Favre is telling the Vikings he will not return for this upcoming season...now, he's done this for several years in a row, but this time it might be due to his ankle not healing as well as it needs to for him to play for them. Of course, he could come back sometime after training camp and by whatever deadline there might be before the Regular season starts, but I have a feeling this is it for him...and the Vikes. With Jackson and Rosenfalls the Vikings might not even make the playoffs. Sure, they have a great RB in Peterson and a very strong receiving corps, but without Favre those receivers don't have anyone to truly throw the majestic passes that got them from one coin flip from the Super Bowl last season.

Oh, and this screws me up in the Keeper League big time...lol.
