I've been expecting a move like this for several weeks. Take a good look at some of the recent video of him. He's losing weight. His eyes are sunken. His color (when not covered up with all the tanning stuff) is gray. He was even looking rather cianotic 3 weeks ago. I suspect this story line is to give him time for medical care of some sort.
 
I've been hearing rumors Vince was going to scale back his day to day operations as WWE head honcho due to health issues involving his heart.....so the move last night wasn't a total surprise. The way it was done also leaves the door open for his return if ratings plummet in his abscence.
 
Well.... I guess I'll stop teasing him then, for now.

But, I did like how the crowd went from jerring him to cheering him before the end of the show.

And as a WWE fan, I certainly loved to hate on Vince. 🙂
 
in before hhh/cena heel turn!!!!!oh wow i havent been excited about wwe in years. These past few weeks and the ppv have been the best in a long time.
 
didn't know anyone watched that anymore i thought when hulk hogan died wrestling died too. I guess I was wrong.

You missed so many wrestlers after Hogan. WWE ROCKS!!!! And so does MMA.... but not TNA. LOL LOL 😛
 
It's all just storyline, Vince is still very much in charge of everything WWE. Triple H has been being tutored by Vince for the past year or so on how to run the company and H has even been in charge at television tapings in recent times.

The storyline with CM Punk really has me interested.
 
Vince isn't "fired" if anyone really believes that its not true. how you fire at CEO is beyond me, its all stroyline. Its like when Vince "dies" but somehow comes back to life either he is one very luckey man or he has more lives then a cat lol

WWE is a publicly traded company and it at the whim of the stockholders
 
what the wwe is looking to do soon is get their own cable network. I just hope cablevision would support it.

I've been jealous for years that you guys get wwe 24/7 over there, when I think of all the footage the company owns it's an absoloute goldmine for us long term fans of the industry.

Watching the golden era of Nitro or ECW again would be immense as well as all the old school NWA stuff
 
Actually i dont have wwe 24/7 It pisses me of to watch tazz in his ecw days and to see turn into a carebear. Im trying to leave the past behind.

I can't wait until Vince is really gone from WWE. Vince has been lame for a while now, living off of what he and his company once were.

Triple H and Stephanie taking over doesn't excite me much because they've had a great influence for years - Triple H was booking matches when he was HBK's flunky in the mid 90's - but at least it won't be Vince who's in charge. Hopefully Trips will suprise us all and actually be great in his soon-to-be role.

Only thing i despise is for the ECW stuff they have to use generic rock/techno music for entrances because of the royalties of suing the real songs

The sound of Natural born killers for New Jack or Enter Sandman were always great moments in ECW. Back in the late nineties I brought their official music soundtrack with all the current big stars entrance themes on.

Back To Vince though I've just read the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer, which was a fascinating read in the current climate in the company.

Summed up the epic Punk interview from a few weeks ago was perhaps more scripted and foreshadowing about the company then maybe first realised. In it he criticised John Laurinitus, which the casual fan probably having no idea who he is; next thing Laurinits is on TV. Triple H and Stephanie were criticised about their future inheritance and behold the transition backstage is now in place for them to take over.

The current theroy is whilst Triple H and Stephanie will take over the day to day running of the business, Vince will have the final say on absoloutly everything still. Infact the observer pretty much concludes that the day Vince leaves the company for good will be the day he dies.
