As for the Middle Eastern storyl it is sonething to think about. I CAN tell you a few things. Julie is going after the basic element of enchanted metal that was used to make Hera's sandals in the first place. Deposits of this metal can be found all over the world. This enchanted metal springs from an old Norse myth and the Gods of Asgard. I'll be going into all the details in issue #2. The more metal they collect, the more power they have for the overall world domination plot. Different deposits were found at various time periods. By going back in time to the discovery point, the better chances they have to find a larger and more pure supply.<p>Doing a Middle Eastern story is a possibility. I can say that the first issue will be a set up for the series. Julie goes back to Jack in order to get the ship. We have to meet both Jack and Kelli, and of course the ship. There will be plenty of action in the story, but no time jumps. (Unless you count page 10). You have to bear with me on issue #1. We have to start somewhere. Issue #2 will see our girls become captives of a band of Viking women. After that, only I know for certain. I intend for an accident on board to damage the time controls. This is mainly for two reasons. One, we need them to be bouncing back and forth without being able to get home. Two, I want to keep the issues destinations a secret until we post the cover. You never will quite know where they will end up next. <p>I'll also tell you that they have 24 hour periods in each jump, then they are zapped back to the ship. Sometimes they will obtain the prize, sometimes they won't. The action will vary as well. Not every issue will have both girls getting it. Sometimes they won't get it at all, but someone else will. For instance, they will have to play detectives in old London to stop a madman from tormenting the local working girls. Each issue will have plenty of tickling action they you've all come to expect from our work. It will make sense though. I don't like doing a lot of gratuitous tickling just to fill up a page. There will be reasoning behind it.<p>There will also be plenty of stereotypes and character "goofs" all through the series.

It's going to be a lot of fun.

Well, I've just received my copy of VU7, and two scenes caught my attention. The first is the one where Julie gets feathered through her sandal. Deeeeelicious. Too bad is not bigger. The second was the Countess getting tickled. What a delight...

Can't wait for number 8 already...

The feather in the sandal was my idea since Julie is based on my wife and I do that to her on a regular basis. Sandals come in handy for "6 packing" as well, but that's another story.

We'll see more of the Countess in issue 8. Look for more of Julie in her own upcoming series.

Hey Hootus,

What do you mean if she were real? I married her! She was in the stocks last night as a matter of fact.

I base a lot of the character on my wife Julie so there are a lot of comparisons. She has a psych background and will be working with me on plotting the new series. It IS going to be very interesting. It's going to give us a break from an involved storyline and we'll be able to do a lot with history.

One thing I don't want to do is get too bogged down with being too overly accurate. This is fantasy material so the characters will be pretty stereotypical. I'ts one big excuse to tie up and tickle Vikings, Pirates, Cowgirls, Hippies, Futuristic Space chicks, Jungle Girls, just to name a few. Julie and Kelli will be meeting new people and recruiting help from them. That will give them victims to rescue every now and then. That way we vary the action. I think it would get pretty boring if the same two got it every single time. Some stories Julie will get it, Some Kelli will get it. Some both will. Others background characters will get it. Still plenty of action though.

Since FTKL is going to be drawing the book now the designs will be tweaked a little. Kelli will be a little tougher and hotter in a Tom Boy sort of way.

I want Julie to grow up a little. Getting worked over in issue 7 really woke her up to the trouble ahead. Although she enjoys a good tickling, she really doesn't want to be worked over like that again, and she's really afraid of what Koo will do to her. She is the "Adult" in her book. That's why we tweaked her age a little from her earlier bio (the original VU bio).

Her basic outfit will change as well. When I designed her we really needed that post college girl sort of character so the shorts and top seemed to fit. Now she's matured a little but she's still aware of her looks. When she's not in a period outfit, she will be in her black top and white Capri pants with her new flip flop sandals. (That will leave plenty of chances for dangling folks).😀

I'm really jazzed about it.

Congratulations on surpassing expectations yet again! I've been waiting for both Julie and the Countess to be on the receiving end for a while. I've always loved the character of the Countess in particular. And on the topic of villains, I think I like Mistress Cat's new look even better. She's probably not happy about being forced to adopt a new look, though...

A lot of the characters have been given an updated look these days. I really like what FTKL did with Koo's new outfit. Cat's look is more streamlined as well. Personally I'm just glad the braid is gone. That always slows me down coloring wise. 😀

Glad you like Cat Huaman,

She's a mainstay character in the VU universe. We still have three issues of the first arc of VU coming, so we'll see more of her. We also plan on spot lighting her in some of the VU one shots that are coming down the road. That will give us more time to develop her character.
