There's nothing quite like being in the ballpark (in this case, Holman Stadium in Dodgertown) for a walk-off homerun. The first game I saw here in Vero Beach featured that. The Dodgers had blown a 3-1 lead in the 7th inning, and were batting in the bottom of the 9th with the game tied, 3-3.

With one out, just as two Tiger fans behind me were speculating how many innings would be played, young Tony Abreu pulled a fastball over the left field chain-link fence for a game-ending homerun.

Final score: Dodgers 4, AL Champion Tigers 3.

😀 😀

Although last night's game did not feature a walk-off homerun, I did enjoy the 6-3 victory over the Nationals. The Dodgers had homeruns by Gonzalez, Garciaparra, and Valdez. 😀 😀 😀

I'm glad you're having such a good trip Mil's. 😀

Thanks, Bugman. 😀

The game after those two was rained out. 🙁

I'm hoping for one more victory today. I fly home tomorrow. 😀
