There's nothing quite like being in the ballpark (in this case, Holman Stadium in Dodgertown) for a walk-off homerun. The first game I saw here in Vero Beach featured that. The Dodgers had blown a 3-1 lead in the 7th inning, and were batting in the bottom of the 9th with the game tied, 3-3.
With one out, just as two Tiger fans behind me were speculating how many innings would be played, young Tony Abreu pulled a fastball over the left field chain-link fence for a game-ending homerun.
Final score: Dodgers 4, AL Champion Tigers 3.
😀 😀
