Warm.. This Is December?

I want to make clear that I am NOT bragging about the weather.. but.. '

It seems as though we have a very mild weather pattern .. at least for the foreseeable future.;

New York City is supposed to range anywhere between the high 40s and high 50s for the next ten days, and from the predictions I've heard,. warm weather is supposed to last throughout December.

Considering how snowy and brutally cold last winter was.. it would be a welcome change to have a mild winter.

Hopefully, this warm weather will last.

Record high temps are expected in NYC the next three days, with highs of 62, 65, and 61, forecast tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. After that, temps will drop some, but the lowest high temp I've seen is.. 45.

It would be sweet if the rest of the winter was like this. Considering how brutally cold and snowy last winter was.

And many will say this is evidence of the great catastrophic climate change going on. No, the main thing we're seeing is the yearly variation in weather patterns - things like this have happened before. Climate change is likely happening, but HOW it affects yearly weather patterns, well.....we can't say (note that - climate and weather are not the same....related, but not the same).

OMG i know! I live in NY too. (long island) And i remember in the late-summer, early-fall i heard rumors that this winter was supposed to "WORSE than last years". People predicted powerful blizzards and record-low temperatures. Well, its almost 50F right now... more than halfway through December. It hasn't snowed once yet.

Who said global warming was a "bad" thing? lolol 🙂

Damn. and here i was praising global warming at the expense of our planet so i don't have to shovel my driveway...
we've had a few cold days here and there, but its nothing like last year. Where just Standing standing outside for a half-hour would make your face numb. I greatly despise the cold.

They are expecting a very warm Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in NYC. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be.. 70.

The only.. fly in the ointment... so to say, is a lot of rain. It's supposed to rain for a week straight.

However, considering the fact that December can be. freezing cold with snow, I will welcome warmth and rain. It is a lot better than last winter was, with freezing cold, and all the snow we had.

This December is going into the record books as the warmest December in Central Pennsylvania.
