I was having trouble getting into the chatroom so I did what was suggested on this site. I made the tickle theater links exceptions for Java. When I tried entering the chatroom after that, it said Java needed my approval to access the chatroom. I gave it and refreshed and I got the message ""We encountered a problem while attempting to load the chatroom. Please refresh the page and try again." So I've refreshed the page several times and restarted and I'm still getting the same message. Any tips on what to do now?

The problem seems to be an outdated version of the plugin which one of the previous admins had setup and has the details for.

I'm going to give said admin another 48 hours to respond to my requests to contact back. If there is no joy at that point, I will setup a new version of the chat script myself which should fix the issues that people are having (myself included). That said, others have managed to get it working... but its no good if most can't. It needs fixing.

Please give us some more time as it's early days and we're trying to regroup. But where there is a will, there is a way... and there certainly is a will, so there WILL be a way.

It WILL be fixed.

Not sure if this is helpful or just giving the mods more headaches, but I tried earlier today and got a different error message. I added the TT chatroom to the exceptions list on Java and this happened. I'll just leave this here in case it's anything like new info ^^;

You have to roll back your Java version to access the room, hopefully everyone will see this now! 😀

Thanks for the tip. I had a few hiccups on the way, but did get the chatroom working. 🙂

1) My Google Chrome sensed the download was Malware and initially denied it (probably due to its nature as an uninstaller or something, I suppose). I had to go into the browser's "downloads" page to allow the file to download.

2) I had to download and use Firefox - Chrome wouldn't cut it.

3) Initially firefox failed me too, but after a couple of tries it let me in. When it asks you to update your Java, don't do it - the update will reintroduce the security measures Beckers' download worked so hard to undo, and you'll be back to square one.

If anything I say here is inaccurate or irrelevant, please say so - I can't even work a toaster properly, so all this script jargon isn't my strong suit.

Chrome has disabled all use of Java on their browser, something about their crusade with plug ins, but there is a way to fix that, it just takes some goggling, I forgot how I did it myself but yeah, when it asks you to update click LATER OR IGNORE, if you update, you're back to the exact starting location. You have to run with the out-dated version of Java. (Just for reference for everyone else) Hope it helps!

I've tried all of the above things, including Beckers' backlog java, and I still get the same error message. I've gotten around it by going directly to client11's TT addonchat link :lol
