weddings in the uk seem to be about where we went for honeymoon,how much it all cost, whocame what they wore ect, the whole purpose seems to be second like, the commitment to each other, and all the usual married things.is it the same in the usa.

For me it was a very small wedding..just me, hubby, my sister and his brother..we were given useful things for our home etc. instead of the costly wedding..i of course had always dreamed of a beautiful fairy tale wedding day..however in the long run it's just the one day..we didn't have a honeymoon then either as hubby had just started a job..
My sister got the dream wedding, the honeymoon etc...and hubby's band played at her impressive wedding reception..
