Pittsburgh -7 1/2 @ St.Louis 8:15pm--- Pittsburgh must have this game to clinch a playoff spot. My guess they do not want to go to the final week of the season to get the job done. Taking the Steelers.

Dallas -10 1/2 @ Carolina 8:15pm--- With the Cowboys coughing away last week's game, I would anticipate they will do better in Carolina on Saturday. Not sure why these Cowboys are going to get the job done in Carolina but I believe they will.

Cleveland -3 @ Cincinnati 1:00pm---Cleveland's situation is somewhat similar to the Steelers. Win and you clinch a playoff spot. I do believe that the Browns can win this game. They beat the Bills in the snow last week 8-0 and I believe that despite a divisional rivalry that the Browns will prevail against the Bengals. For fantasy sake, I am hoping for a 51-45 kind of game that these two teams played back in week#2. Giving up the points and taking the Browns.
Green Bay -9 @ Chicago 1:00pm--- Dallas opened up the door for the Packers to get the #1 seed. I think Green Bay will play their hearts out in this game. Especially since they will know what the results of the Dallas/Carolina game will be already. I look for the Packers to take it right to the Bears. Especially after the Bears beat the Packers in Green Bay back on October 7th. I will lay the points and take the Packers to win this game fairly easy.
Houston +7 @ Indianapolis 1:00pm--- These two teams met on September 23rd back in Houston. Indianapolis beat the Texans 30-24. With that win the Colts ran their record against the Texans to 10-1. Something tells me that the Colts are just preparing for the playoffs and that the Texans will be tough. The Colts really have nothing to play for the last two weeks of the season. Their goal is get to the playoffs healthy. Since this team has had it's fair share of injuries this season, I would imagine they are not going to risk further injuries in meanless games. I will gamble here and take Houston and the points.
Kansas City +4 1/2 @ Detroit 1:00pm--- This is an game. The Lions have lost 6 straight ( though screwed by the officials in both the Giants and Cowboys games ). The Chiefs haven't won since October 21st when they beat the Oakland Raiders in Oakland 12-10. That means that the Chiefs have not won in 9 weeks. I don't like the Chiefs chances in Detroit. Both teams need a spark to go into next season with. I look for the Lions to pick up their final win of the year here and the Chiefs will have to look to beat the Jets next week in New York. I am giving up the points and going one final time with the Lions this year.
Miami +22 @ New England 1:00pm--- The Dolphins have great incentive to win this game. They were the victims of having the score run up on them when the game's outcome had long been determined. Don't think they forgot that. The Patriots have yet to cover when favored by 20 or more points. They are 0-3 this season against the spread when favored by 20+ points. Though I HATE the Dolphins, I pick them to outright win this game.
New York Giants -3 @ Buffalo 1:00pm--- The Giants are 6-1 on the road this season. A Giants win clinches a playoff spot. That is incentive enough to go out and beat the Bills. That being said, the Giants were in that same spot last week and lost to the Redskins at home. The Bills TE Kevin Everett will be back in the stadium which should amp up the fans and the Bills themselves. I know that it should be an emotional time for the Bills and their fans when their fallen hero returns to Buffalo. That being stated, the should win this game. The big question is will they??? I don't know. This is going to be a nip and tuck kind of game... therefore I will take the Bills at home.
Oakland +13 @ Jacksonville 1:00pm--- Jacksonville need to win to clinch a playoff spot or a Titans loss or tie to the Jets. I believe that Oakland is not coming all the way across the country to win this game. Anyone picking Oakland is only a delusional fan. With so much on the line, Jacksonville will be ready to drop the hammer on the Raiders. This spread could be 20 points and I would take Jacksonville and give up the points.
Philadelphia +3 @ New Orleans 1:00pm---The Saints know that they lose this game and their playoff hopes are gone. They need to win. They are home for the final time this year. Can't lose at home has got to be their motto this week. The Eagles have been eliminated. There is nothing to play for here. They can be very loose at playing spoiler. I like the Saints in what amounts to an elimination game for them.
Atlanta +10 @ Arizona 4:05pm--- Arizona was eliminated last week by the Saints. This week they get a team that has had everything go wrong for them this season in the Atlanta Falcons. The lastest, Bill Parcells was going to sign with the Falcons and then decides he might life in Miami. It has been a bizzarre season for the Falcons, look for the Cardinals to take advantage of them. Taking the Cardinals and giving up the points.
Tampa Bay -7 @ San Francisco 4:05pm--- Tampa Bay has incentive here to be a three seed. Is it that important??? I am not sure. But if Seattle loses a game and Tampa Bay wins out they will be the three seed. San Francisco won a big game with Shawn Hill last week against the Bengals. Will that happen again??? Probably not. Taking the Buccaneers.
Baltimore +10 @ Seattle 4:15pm--- Baltimore hit a real low by giving the Dolphins their first win of the year. Seattle might or might not have incentive here depending on whether the three seed is that important to them. I look for Seattle to turn it up a notch against the Ravens and play this game like it were a playoff game. Taking the Seahawks.
New York Jets +9 @ Tennessee 4:15pm--- The Titans really need this game. A loss and Browns and Jaguars win will eliminate the Titans. So for what it is worth, the Jets and Titans are involved in a playoff game. I do not expect a Jets win here. I do expect them to keep the game close. Taking the points and the Jets.
Washington +6 1/2 @ Minnesota 8:15pm--- All eyes should be on this game. This game will tell you if the Redskins are going to be eliminated and the Saints will be eliminated. A Redskins win and both the Saints and the Redskins stay alive. Should be interesting. For that reason and because I like to see something worth the while in week#17, I will take and root hard for the Redskins.

Denver +8 1/2 @ San Diego 8:00pm---With the Broncos eliminated, just enjoy the San Diego air. Enjoy the nice temperatures and maybe go for a swim or two before you have to go home and shovel more snow. Taking the Chargers.
Everyone have a SAFE and HAPPY Holiday!!! I will put the standings out for next week on Christmas Day!!! See you then!!!
