Week #18 - Wild Card Playoffs

Okay...we have reached the Wild Card playoffs. That means there are very few games left to go. 🙁 . We have had many of players at around .500 so let's see if the final 11 games will improve that for them. As always...good luck and thanks for playing this season.

New York Jets +2 1/2 @ Cincinnati Bengals 4:30pm ( NBC ) --- This will be a tight game. I think the difference in this game is going to be defense. This is a game that can go either way. The Bengals will not cover this game.

Philadelphia Eagles +4 @ Dallas Cowboys 8:00pm ( NBC ) --- Though I have been a believer in Dallas ( if you listen to the Radio Program you know this ) all season long...I do believe that last week was an abberation for the Eagles. This game is going to be an awful lot closer than the 24-0 game we witness last week. I still believe that Dallas will win this game...but it will be a FG game. Hold on Dallas fans this will be a close one but in the end, Dallas should prevail.

Baltimore Ravens +3 1/2 @ New England Patriots 1:00pm ( CBS ) --- I think that the Ravens defense is going to be a BIG factor in this game. The Patriots defense has been inconsistant throughout this season. I don't expect that to change. Then add the loss of Wes Welker and New England Patriots will lose their first home game this season.

Green Bay Packers +1 @ Arizona Cardinals 4:40pm ( FOX ) --- A shootout game. This might be the best game of the weekend. If you are a gambler bet the over in this game. This game will play out defensively. Last team that has the ball will probably win the game. Cardinals will win this game late.

If I am right this will set up some good games next week! A nice way to start the playoffs. Let's get this started.

While I definitely believe the Dallas team that isn't owned by Cuban will beat the Eagles [because I think they are better balanced than the Eagles], I am taking the Eagles +4 since NFC East spreads with more than +3 should be thrown out.

The Packers to beat the Cardinals since I see many similarities with the 2005-2006 Pittsburgh Steelers & the 2007-2008 New York Giants. And since the Packers are underdogs here, I can't take these points fast enough!

The Baltimore Ravens to beat the Patriots as the NE defense isn't very good & Wes Welker's replacement is still somewhat of a dropoff. And since the Ravens are underdogs here, I can't take these points fast enough!

I'll take the Jets over the Bengals for this reason: I believe that there are only three teams in the playoffs that can beat the Jets. These three teams are the Packers, the Chargers, & the Jets.
