Indianapolis -3 @ Jacksonville

Arizona +8 1/2 @ Washington--- If Kurt Warner starts this game I will be wrong on this pick. Can't be convinced that Tim Rattay will be Arizona's guy to take them to victory.

Atlanta +9 @ New Orleans--- Has Drew Brees hit his stride??? For the Saints sake he had better. I think now that the Saints have a win under their belt things will look more like they did a year ago.

Baltimore -3 @ Buffalo--- Buffalo at home will play a tough game. Since you can't pick a push, I will ride the home team.

Minnesota +9 1/2 @ Dallas--- The Cowpoops let me down a week ago. Now the Vikings will play a close game. Can a Dallas fan be happy with a win here after they were dismantled a week ago???

New England -16 1/2 @ Miami--- Miami beat the Patriots at home 21-0. The Patriots being an almost 17 point favor in a divisional foes home??? Lets' be real. Taking the Fish and the points.

San Francisco +9 1/2 @ New York Giants---The 49ers are not coming 3,000 miles without a decent QB and winning this game. Go with the home club. Go Giants!!!

Tampa Bay +2 1/2 @ Detroit--- Tampa Bay is running out of Running Backs and the Lions are sitting on a bad loss for 2 weeks. They come home where they have played well. Give the edge to the home team.

Tennessee -1 1/2 @ Houston--- Is Vince Young playing??? If he is this could be a fun contest. Houston is tough at home.

Kansas City +3 @ Oakland--- Oakland is playing well at home. I expect them to win this game outright and by more than the spread. But Kansas City burned me a week ago. So who knows???

New York Jets +6 @ Cincinnati--- Bengals have too much offense. The Jets have none. This is a bad combination. The Bengals in a romp over my beloved Jets.

Chicago +5 @ Philadelphia--- The Bears have played well with Griese at the helm. I still think Philadelphia is better.

St.Louis +9 @ Seattle--- Seattle should do well against a team that has already declared this an off-season. The Rams are already looking for the Thanksgiving Day turkey and the present under the Christmas tree.

Pittsburgh -3 1/2 @ Denver--- Is Jay Cutler the answer or is this just an off-year for the QB. The Steelers will beat him up.

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Indianapolis -3 @ Jacksonville--- This is the Colts game to lose.

See you guys next week!!!:rotate:

Arizona +8 1/2 @ Washington - the cards wont know what will hit them on both sides of the ball...

Atlanta +9 @ New Orleans - taking the points and an up-set...

Baltimore -3 @ Buffalo - break out game for McGahee...

Minnesota +9 1/2 @ Dallas - battle of 2 pretty solid D's, I think "All Day" will keep this game within 7...

New England -16 1/2 @ Miami - something is telling me its going to a close game say between 10-15 points...

San Francisco +9 1/2 @ New York Giants - Giants have been on a roll were the 49ers well lets say haven't hit their stride...

Tampa Bay +2 1/2 @ Detroit - a defensive play by Phillip Buchanon will give Tampa the win...

Tennessee -1 1/2 @ Houston - flipped a coin...

Kansas City +3 @ Oakland - must win for Oakland...

New York Jets +6 @ Cincinnati- 41-17 to the Bengals...

Chicago +5 @ Philadelphia -its not going to be a high scoring game so I think 5 is enough to cover...

St.Louis +9 @ Seattle - 1st win of the year to the Rams...

Pittsburgh -3 1/2 @ Denver - I think the Steelers will run over Denver, with Willie Parker and the "Dump Truck" both hitting their stride and 'holes' the donks will have a hard time stopping them...

Um... Buffalo is playing Baltimore

I am amazed that different newspapers come out with different spreads. Forgive me, I had to organize it in my one fantasy league by timeslot & forgot to change it back to the TMF order.

Sunday 1PM Games

San Francisco +9 1/2 @ New York Giants - Lay the Points & Take the Giants.
I don't like this game. This is a game that the Giants are supposed to win. I smell trap game # 2 here. Last time I remember Trent Dilfer playing against the Giants was the 2001 Superbowl. One play (the ghostly defensive interference call vs. Keith Hamilton) changed the entire outlook of that game for the Ravens. Now, I know that the Giants are significantly better than the 49ers. However, I have a hard time believiing that they can comfortably win this game by at least 10 points. A Giant defensive score would help this pick (& my fantasy teams in which both have the Giants Defense starting). This is the least confident game I have this week, but I think the Giants continue to roll.
New York Jets +6 @ Cincinnati - Take the Points & Take the Jets.
The defenses for both teams are at the very minimum sloppy, if not outright putrid. The key to this game is Jets RBs Thomas Jones & Leon Washington vs. Cincinnati Front 7. If the Jets get a ground game going early, they'll just pound the football & keep Palmer off the field. If they do not run well, Cincinnati's defense will come alive & We'll be hearing another call for a Clemens, this time Kellen Clemens. Side note: The Jets defense is a little better than Cincy's defense.
Arizona +8 1/2 @ Washington - Lay the Points & Take the Redskins.
Hmmm. I saw the Redskins force Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre to struggle. Who out there thinks Third-String QB Tim Rattay will do better? Neither do I. Jason Campbell will make just enough plays to build an early lead; then you get to see Portis & Betts return to form in the second half.
Atlanta +9 @ New Orleans - Take the Points, but Take the Aints, I mean the Saints, to win the game outright.
That falcons defense isn't that great, & the Saints are just discovering themselves. However, I refuse to believe that the Saints' defense is fully there yet - they still have kinks to work out. I can't say that the defense will comfortably cover the spread, despite Byron Leftwich starting over Joey Harrington. Note to Petrino: Draft a QB next year.
New England -16 1/2 @ Miami - Lay the Points & Lay the Dolphins for dead. (Take the Patriots)
Why do the Dolphins have to play the Patriots before hosting the Giants in London? This is the one time I would love to see the Dolphins win, just so that they get that out of the way before the Giants. Let's see. The Patriots score upwards of 38 points a game. Miami's Defense is struggling at allowing over 30 points a game. Cleo Lemon put up 31 points against the Browns last Sunday. I'd say the offense needs at least 45 points to pull the upset. Show of hands, how many of you think the Dolphins score at least 20 points this week? I rest my case.
Tampa Bay +2 1/2 @ Detroit - Lay the Points & Take the Lions!
Wow, the Lions are favored this week. I can't remember seeing that in a while. The Buccaneers Defense feasted on crap teams. Their two losses saw 20 points (Seahawks) & 33 points (Colts). Look at the 4 wins, & you see they played terrible offenses. I think Detroit's defense is showing something this year - they're tied for the league lead in either
interceptions or total turnovers.
Tennessee -1 1/2 @ Houston - Take the Points & Forget the Titans. (Take the Texans)
Vince Young is hurting, & so will the Titans offense if Kerry Collins has to play. Texans WR Andre Johnson returns to spark the Texans offense.
Baltimore -3 @ Buffalo - Take the Points & Take the Bills.
The Bills are the best one-win team in the league, as they were heartbroken against the Broncos & the Cowboys. I would love to say the Ravens wil win easily, but their offense always slams into a wall & kicks field goals. This game will be close, & a close game can be stolen. Since the Bills had one stolen last week, I firmly believe that the law of averages induces them to steal one this week.

Sunday 4PM Games

Kansas City +3 @ Oakland - Take the Points & Take the Chiefs.
Tomlinson ripped 4 TDs last week. Larry Johnson gets his turn against the Raiders defense. Meanwhile, I refuse to believe that Culpepper can be effective this week against an improving Chiefs defense.
Chicago +5 @ Philadelphia - Lay the Points & Take the Eagles.
'da Bears Defense suddenly looks like swiss cheese. After seeing Adrian Peterson grab 361 all-purpose yards last week, I figure Westbrook can get at least half that this week. Meanwhile, we're waiting for the Brian Griese show to self-destruct. I think it does this week.
Minnesota +9 1/2 @ Dallas - Lay the Points & Take the Cowboys
Adrian Peterson is now a marked man. He is the only way the Vikings can keep this game close - by running left, right, straight, & all other directions to keep Romo on the sideline. Problem is, Dallas's defense will really stack the box to stop him. There's no ground service through the Vikings run defense, so Romo will be airmailing touchdowns.
St.Louis +9 @ Seattle - Lay the Points & Lay the Rams for Dead. (Take the Seahawks)
I don't think it matters whether Bulger plays or not. The Rams have the NFC's worst rushing defense, which means Alexander will tote the rock all day. Look for the Seattle defenders to pin their ears back against the depleted Rams offensive line & harass Bulger all afternoon.

Primetime Games

Pittsburgh -3 1/2 @ Denver - Lay the Points & Take the Steelers
The Broncos have the worst rushing defense in the NFL. Go Parker. The Steelers return healthy - another bad sign for Denver. Champ Bailey is hurt, so Roethlisberger will have no problems. Denver C Tom Nalen is out for the season, & Walker is out at least 4-6 weeks.
Indianapolis -3 @ Jacksonville - Take the Points & The Jaguars
The Jaguars are the one team that not only thinks they can beat the Colts, they are the one team that actually can beat the Colts. The Jaguars play physical football on both sides - defense & offense. They run hard, & the difference is the consistency of Garrard (0 INTs). Peyton Manning can't throw touchdowns from the sidelines.
