We are almost to the half way point of the football season. That seems so incredible. If my memory serves me correctly we have six of the eighteen qualified at or over .500. We have another six who are within the .500 mark. It is still very close. Anyone can win.:couch: That all being said, I hope all of you are having a good time this season and that your respective favorite teams are doing well. Here is the schedules and spreads for week #8 in the league where they play...for pay!!!

Bye Weeks: Arizona, Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Kansas City, Seattle

That is the this week's schedule. There are 13 games on the schedule this week. You still MUST pick at least 10 games. I will ask of people like Maniac and Lovethemaster to keep the games in the order that I have it in. It makes it easier for me. Also if you would please put the point spreads by the team you are picking ( that is for those who don't copy and paste ). Again, it makes it easier for me. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation!!! Have a great weekend and enjoy the games!!!

Cleveland -3 @ St.Louis--- I think Derek Anderson will have a fun time picking apart this Rams defense. This game will probably be a 38-24 type of game. Don't be surprised if Anderson throws for 400 yards in this game.

Detroit +5 @ Chicago--- I believe that this is a real tough game for the Lions. Last time these two teams met in Detroit, Jon Kitna was 20 for 24 with 247 yards and 2 TD's. Rex Grossman is not starting now for the Bears. It is now Brian Griese. Despite the fact that the Lions have not played well in Chicago in recent years, I wouldn't be surprised to see this game end with a field goal kicked by Robbie Gould or Jason Hanson to win the game. Taking the points and the Lions.

Indianapolis -6 1/2 @ Carolina--- This game is a tune-up for the battle of the unbeatens next week. I think for the Colts to remain unbeaten they have to be able run effectively to protect Payton. If the Colts don't run the ball well, Julius Peppers and company might be able to catch up with Manning. I do have my doubts that Carolina will stop the run though. Taking the road warriors that is the Indianapolis Colts.

New York Giants -9 1/2 vs. Miami @ London,England--- This is STUPID that these two teams are playing in London. The NFL wants to bring in more revenue then keep assholes like Tank Johnson and Adam " Pacman " Jones out of the league. The Giants are the better team and will win this going away in a very boring game.

Oakland +7 1/2 @ Tennessee--- Though Oakland has struggled on the road, Culpepper has kept most games close since he was installed as a starter. The Titans are not a very impressive team but should win this game. But 7 1/2 is too much to give up. Taking the points and the Raiders.

Philadelphia -1 @ Minnesota--- Both these teams are 2-4. I just believe that Philadelphia with McNabb at the helm is better than Jackson right now. I will take the Eagles.

Pittsburgh -4 @ Cincinnati--- This is more of a gut pick than anything else. The Bengals have played well at home and the Steelers are 1-2 on the road. I will go with the gut and go with the Bengals in a game that should be lots of fun to watch.

Buffalo +3 @ New York Jets--- The Jets lost to Buffalo earlier this year in Buffalo 17-14. Their defense held Marshawn Lynch to 79 rushing yards. They will need another performance like that from their defense. In the meantime, Chad Pennington threw for 291 yards and hit Cotchery for 107 of those 291 yards. Another performance like that and less mistakes will lead to a win for the Jets.

Houston +10 @ San Diego---This is a tough game to call. Is Matt Schaub healthy enough to play??? Where is this game going to be played??? How did the wildfires that are ripping throughout the Southern California area going to affect this game??? Too many questions and not enough answers. I, for now, will go with the Texans but that definately could change. Qurstions have been answered. Schaub is healthy enough to play. The game will, in fact, be played in Jack Murphy Stadium ( can't call it Quallcomm or whatever the hell it is ) and I think that should motivate the Chargers. Taking the Chargers and giving up the points.

Jacksonville +4 @ Tampa Bay--- Are you feeling confident that Quinn Gray making his first career NFL start on the road is going to get the job done??? Neither am I!!! Taking Tampa Bay!!!

New Orleans -3 @ San Francisco--- I do believe that Drew Brees is starting to get into this season ( Finally!!! As I have him on one of my fantasy teams ). The Saints have won two straight and the 49ers after getting off to an 2-0 start have lost 4 straight. This is the Saints best chance to get back into the playoff picture. They lose here and they might be looking towards 2008!!! Giving up the points and taking the Saints!!!

Washington +16 1/2 @ New England--- Wow!!! Judging by this point spread you would think that the Redskins team is horrible. Let's look shall we??? The Redskins are 4-2 and very much alive and well for a playoff spot. The Redskins defense has given up 88 points this season. Which is an average of 14.7 points a game. The Cheaters are a very good team but the numbers don't justify the Washington being a 16 1/2 underdog. The Cheaters will win this game but it will not be by 17 points!!!

Monday, October 29th,2007

Green Bay +3 @ Denver--- The Packers know they will gain a game on either the 4-2 Lions or the 3-4 Bears with a win. Denver knows they can pull into a first place tie with the idle Kansas City Chiefs. I do like Denver at home though I wouldn't be shocked to see the Packers move their record to 6-1. Taking the homestand Broncos!!!

Those are my picks for week #8 in the NFL!!! Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend and enjoy the games!!!

Cleveland -3 @ St.Louis - fresh from a week off with no better team to come back to, the Browns passing attack will be more then enough to counter Jackson on the ground...

Detroit +5 @ Chicago - close game, the Bears cant score many so I see the game being within 3...

Indianapolis -6 1/2 @ Carolina - any other team will be looking at upcoming games but I think the Colts will come out and prove a point...

New York Giants -9 1/2 vs. Miami @ London,England - going with the better team here, the travel is the only thing I can see beating the Giants...

Oakland +7 1/2 @ Tennessee - I went Oakland every other match so why not here...

Philadelphia -1 @ Minnesota - a strong running attack plus a solid defense has the Vikings moving forward...

Pittsburgh -4 @ Cincinnati - important game for the Bengals here, almost a must win...

Buffalo +3 @ New York Jets - going with the Bills...

Houston +10 @ San Diego - Houston cant score ten...

Jacksonville +4 @ Tampa Bay - it will be a close game, giving the Bucs the edge...

New Orleans -3 @ San Francisco - Frank Gore...

Washington +16 1/2 @ New England - Tom Brady meet Sean Taylor...

I realize my picks may be somewhat unorthodox, but I assure you I haven't lost my marbles (nor my shirt- there's no $ involved) nor am I picking on a whim. Except for the Houston pick... pure whimsy. I still think that New England and Indianapolis are in a league of their own (we'll call it the Amazing Football League, or AFL, for the sake of discussion), so I find it hard to bet against them. But I figure it takes some guts to do well, and it should keep me on edge tomorrow :shake: .

Success breeds contempt, I suppose. But I can't fault you for your opinion. I much rather have the Broncos win and be despised :Grrr: then lose and be embraced. :twohugs: .

I'm not sure if I'm predicting these teams will win or lose. At least that seems to be the way of it lately.
