This week's winners (picks in bold)

Sunday, November 4, 2007

Washington -3 1/2 @ New York Jets- Redskins figure to bounce back after getting crushed by the Patriots- teams that lose to the Pats 5-2 ATS the following week, including the Jets, who had their only cover after losing to the Patriots in Week 1.

Green Bay +2 @ Kansas City- Packers' Ryan Grant gained 104 yards in place of injured DeShawn Wynn against Broncos' No. 32 run D. Chiefs' defense ranks 8th overall. Packers are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven road games, including 3-0 in '07.

Arizona +3 1/2 @ Tampa Bay- Bucs minus-5 in turnover differential the last two weeks, with no takeaways. Cardinals and injured Kurt Warner should benefit from the bye week

Carolina +4 @ Tennessee- Panthers are 4-0 SU and ATS on the road in '07. Vince Young's rating in last three: 34.5(Falcons), 72.6(Bucs), and 50.3(Raiders)

San Francisco +3 @ Atlanta- These teams deserve each other. Falcons lost three straight; 49ers have lost five straight. Joey Harrington is back at QB for Falcons with Byron Leftwich out 3-4 weeks.

Jacksonville +3 1/2 @ New Orleans- Saints QB Drew Brees is warming up- 31 for 39 for 336 yards, 4 TDs' 0 INT vs 49ers last week, a 113.0 passer rating in 3-game win streak. Saints are 0-5 SU and ATS in last five vs. AFC teams

Denver +3 @ Detroit- Lions are the biggest house of cards in the NFL. The teams they've beaten are 14-24. Broncos' Dre Bly and Champ Bailey should respond after getting embarrassed by Brett Favre last week

Cincinnati -1 @ Buffalo- With the Bills' best chance yet to pick up a game on the Patriots, Dick Jauron might have his team too stoked for this one.

San Diego -7 @ Minnesota- Since running wild against the Bears, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has rushed for 133 yards on 32 carries, with his longest run 20 yards

Seattle + 1 1/2 @ Cleveland- Browns QB Derek Anderson, WR Braylon Edwards and TE Kellen Winslow getting better by the week. Browns are 4-2 overall and 3-0 at home since Anderson replaced Charlie Frye, now the Seahawks' No. 3 QB

New England -5 @ Indianapolis- I for one, am sick of hearing about these Pats. Belicheck has been lucky so far, but the luck will run out on him. The '72 Fins should have the champagne on ice

Houston +3 @ Oakland- Once promising Texans season's still heading south. Sage Rosenfels likely to start for injured Matt Schaub, backed by Craig Nall, who signed on Monday.

Dallas -3@ Philadelphia- This might not be Tony Romo's night. When Donovan McNabb signed a $115M extension after a big game against the Cowboys in 2002, his QB rating dropped from 115.5 to 73.4 against the Texans the next week. None the less, still too much firepower against an injury-filled Eagles D.

Monday, November 5, 2007

Baltimore + 9 1/2 @ Pittsburgh- Steelers are 3-0 ATS at home- beating the Bills 26-3, 49ers 37-16 and Seahawks 21-0. Ravens are 0-4 ATS on the road.

Sunday, November 4th,2007

Washington -3 1/2 @ New York Jets - the Redskins are a better team then what was on show last week...jets have done nothing thus far to convince me not to go against the 'Skins...

Green Bay +2 @ Kansas City - G Bay and the points...

Arizona +3 1/2 @ Tampa Bay - close game im going with the points...

Carolina +4 @ Tennessee - tossed a coin...

San Francisco +3 @ Atlanta - well I guess someone has to win...

Jacksonville +3 1/2 @ New Orleans - going with the Jags D to keep this close...

Denver +3 @ Detroit - COME ON DETROIT...

Cincinnati -1 @ Buffalo - Lynch 2 TD's and 120+ yards on the ground...

San Diego -7 @ Minnesota - no comment...

Seattle +1 1/2 @ Cleveland - Kellen 'the Soldier' Winslow, seriously the Browns are playing pretty solid football and I cant see the changing, the pressure on the coaching staff wont allow a drop in play...

New England -5 @ Indianapolis - please God a draw...

Houston +3 @ Oakland - playing time for J Mac is just around the corner, I see the Raiders scoring 13 points and the TD coming form the defense with Houston scoring 6...

Dallas -3 @ Philadelphia - heart is saying no but brain is saying go with the Cowboys...

Monday, November 5th,2007

Baltimore +9 1/2 @ Pittsburgh - I went with them all year why change...

Week #9

Okay, I am coming off of a bad week emotionally!!! I want to thank those that stuck by me. I found out who my real friends were this week. I guess that was kind of refreshing. I guess the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was right, " In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." I think it should be 'supposed friends.' Makes me wonder!!! Oh well, we move on...to week#9 in the league where they play...for pay!!!

Sunday, November 4th,2007

Washington -3 1/2 @ New York Jets---The Redskins and the Jets are meeting for only the ninth time in their history. The Redskins are 7-1 against the Jets. But over the last five games four of them have been decided by 5 points or less. Neither team scores very much. This has all the makings of a 13-10, 17-14. 12-9 affair. Redskins will win the game but I doubt they will cover.

Green Bay +2 @ Kansas City--- Short week for Green Bay. Better defense for Farve and the Green Bay offense to go up against. You can bet Grant will not run like he did against Denver. Kansas City will try to play smash mouth football. They will be content to run the ball. They will be content to play for field goals. Kansas City has always been a tough team at home. The Chiefs are 6-1-1 lifetime against the Packers ( does not count Super Bowl I ). Also a fact is that Farve has NEVER beaten the Chiefs in his history ( 0-3 ) Expect the Chiefs to be 5-3 when this game is done.

Arizona +3 1/2 @ Tampa Bay--- This is an interesting game. Both teams have played each other fairly close in their history ( Arizona leads 8-7 ) and both QB's are workmen like. This game could come down a FG. If it does, then 3 1/2 is too much. I will take the road team to keep this a FG game.

Carolina +4 @ Tennessee---Not much history here. These teams have not faced each other since 2003. Prior to that they faced each other one other time when the franchise was in Houston. I am going with the younger more, mobile QB at home. I am taking the Titans.

San Francisco +3 @ Atlanta--- Former NFC West rivals get to renew their rivalry. The 49ers own the history 44-26-1 ( that does not count the victory the Falcons had in 1998 in the postseason ). Both teams are not having good season ( that was a hard thought ). So when you have two teams that are struggling and one of them is coming all the way across the country, you go with the home team. Taking Joey and the Falcons.

Jacksonville +3 1/2 @ New Orleans--- Drew Brees after his early season struggles has righted the ship. Jacksonville is a good defense but are they going to score enough to win??? Quinn Gray surprised me last week, but this week should be no surprises. Taking the Saints and giving away the points.

Denver +3 @ Detroit--- What Natural forgot to tell you is that part of that 14-24 is two win against the defending NFC Champions ( whom he said before the season started that the Lions wouldn't and couldn't beat ). What he also failed to tell you is that the Lions are 3-0 at home. What he also failed to tell you is that the Broncos have the worst run defense in the NFL. What he also failed to mention is that Kevin Jones has started to give the Lions a running game. What he also failed to mention is that Denver is giving up over 26 points a game. Most important, he failed to mention, that he is wrong and that the Lions will win this game.:yowzer:

Cincinnati -1 @ Buffalo--- From 1989-2005 the Bills have won 8 straight from the Bengals. Now that being said, there were some hideous teams that the Bengals put on the field. My guess is I could have found some Pee-Wee teams to beat the Bengals some of those games. But the tide has turned. You have Carson Palmer with all those great wide receivers ( you know the names ) and a healthy Rudi Johnson could spell trouble for the Bills. Taking the Bengals to beat the Bills.

San Diego -7 @ Minnesota--- Minnesota's secondary is suspect. I expect that will be exploited by Rivers and the Chargers. After a slow start, the Chargers have gotten it together. With the Vikings having the combination of Jackson and Bollinger QBing, I would expect that once the Chargers get the lead the Vikings will be ready to pack it in. Giving the points.

Seattle +1 1/2 @ Cleveland--- Derek Anderson is hot. Add a healthy Jamal Lewis in the mix and now throw in a defense that gives up over 100 rushing yards a game and you have the ingredients to a Browns win.

New England -5 @ Indianapolis--- For some strange reason, if I am the Colts, I love this. Everyone expects a Patriots win. If the Patriots have the same second half that they had in the AFC Championship Game ( they gave up 32 points in the 2nd half to the Colts ), they won't win.

Houston +3 @ Oakland--- The Texans are -10 in the turnover ratio. That does not win games. With Schaub out, this sets up well for the Raiders. I will give up the points and take the Raiders.

Dallas -3 @ Philadelphia--- The Eagles have won 11 of the last 14 games against Dallas. Dallas has won ONLY one game in Philadelphia since 1998 and that was a 21-20 victory in 2005. So why is Dallas favored here by 3??? Beats me. It might beat Dallas too!!! Taking the points and the Eagles.

Monday, November 5th,2007

Baltimore +9 1/2 @ Pittsburgh--- Now everyone knows that I am not a big Ravens fans ( I just plain don't like them ). That being said, the last time the Steelers beat the Ravens by 10 points or more was back in 2004 when they beat the Ravens20-7 in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh has lost three straight games to the Ravens. So even though I think the Steelers are the better team, I don't think they will cover the spread. Taking the Ravens and the points.

Those are the picks for week #9. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!:smilestar

Sorry, I was out all weekend last weekend & never remembered to post picks.

Washington -3 1/2 @ New York Jets

Give the Points, Take the Redskins. Growing Pains for Kellen Clemens. The Jets Defense is there, but not the QB skills necessary for a win.

Green Bay +2 @ Kamsas City

Take the Points & Take the Packers. I believe the Packers found their running game with Grant.

Arizona +3 1/2 @ Tampa Bay

Give the Points & Take the Buccaneers. I don't see Garcia turning it over three weeks in a row.

Carolina +4 @ Tennessee

Lay the points & Remember to take the Titans. Vince Young will play better than David Carr, & Carr won't be able to cover this spread.

San Francisco +3 @ Atlanta

Take the points & take the 49ers. However bad San Francisco is on offense, I believe Atlanta as a team is even worse.

Jacksonville +3 1/2 @ New Orleans

Take the Points & Take the Jaguars. That New Orleans Offense will come back to earth against the Jags' Defense.

Denver +3 @ Detroit

Give the points, Take the Lions. Ride Kevin Jones through the porous Broncos defensive line.

Cincinnati -1 @ Buffalo

Take the point & take the Bills. The Bungles are back.

San Diego -7 @ Minnesota

Lay the Points & take the Chargers. Adrian Peterson will be stuffed with no QB support.

Seattle +1 1/2 @ Cleveland

Give the Points & take the Browns. Shaun Alexander is garbage this season, but that Cleveland offense surely isn't.

New England -5 @ Indianapolis

Take the Points & Take the Colts. Colts have done their business against winning teams. Patriots show no sportmanship to losing teams. Joseph Addai will help keep Brady on the sidelines.

Houston +3 @ Oakland

Take the Points & take the Texans. Sage Rosenfels is better than either Raider QB who started this year.

Dallas -3 @ Philadelphia

Give the Points & take the Cowboys. Philly is d-o-n-e. Done. Done. Done.

Monday, November 5th,2007

Baltimore +9 1/2 @ Pittsburgh

Give the points & Take the Steelers. The Steelers can score TDs. Not the Ravens.
