When I was little - I can't remember who the 'lers are now as that part has somehow escaped my memory - I remember that, when I was tickled (by anyone, really), I would hear a mysterious sound in my ears during the tickling. Now, I want you all to be aware that the 'ler was NOT making silly sounds, nor was I, nor was it any form of laughter, etc. I know this for a fact. I was present. I saw what was happening. Neither I, nor my 'ler was making any silly sounds, or any abnormal noises. This came out of thin air and hovered just over my head, right as my 'lers fingers would hit my tickle spot. Sometimes it would move around my head, sometimes go up to my ears, and move away, but it would stay within the area of my head. It sounded like it was murmuring something, but in a high pitched squealing sound. It wavered, too.

Again, bear in mind that my 'ler nor I were making any silly sounds. I was completely aware of what was going on, and I know this for a fact that this weird sound would come out of nowhere during the tickling, and only I heard it. No one else did, oddly, otherwise I think they would have made that clear, however I never did ask if they heard it. Also, during these times of tickling, I was along with the tickler. I don't recall ever being surrounded by more than just my 'ler during the time of being tickled.

Once more, weird - I know - but I'm posting this to see what you all THINK it might be. I'm not sure anyone can have a DEFinite answer, but I want to know what your opinion is on this so maybe I can at least have a clue as to what it might have been.

Another thing that I do know is that I miss it. I could never understand the context of this high pitched murmur, but it's presence made the tickling a blast. I do know that much.

Does that happen today OrangeVibe when you tickled?

Sounds like you had some form of tentinitis(ear ringing) that was set off by the laughter you were producing.

Some people have reported "out of body" experiences when tickled to the point of extreme.

Oh and I don't think I ever said welcome. So welcome 🙂

No, doesn't happen anymore. Only when I was little.

Thanks, Tommy. 🙂

How many forms of Tentitus are there? I don't think I have that. It wasn't ringing, either. It was a murmur, and high pitched, but the tone would shift from high to medium. Scrambled, too. Garbled. Weird. I could also feel it move about my head around my scalp and ears. Floating.

Weird crap.

I have moments when tickling here I kind of "tune out". I am so into the tickling that I focus on what I am doing and am unable to remember the "whole scene" when it is over.

Sometimes when I am tickled its the opposite and I can't get into the whole thing and start to look around instead of enjoying the sensations.

That's the weird parts for me.

It was probably a defense mechanism. Your mind was trying focus on something besides the tickling. It might even have been a real sound that is present all the time, just out of your range of hearing, like the furnace, or air conditioner.

So, would that mean that my mind was making the sound in my head as a defense mechanism? If so, how does that happen within the brain?

Are you saying that, when I was being tickled, it somehow made my hearing hyper sensitive to where I would hear out-of-range sounds?

Thanks for your ideas, guys. 🙂

maybe blood rushes to your head when you get tickled, it's possible because if you laugh really hard that can happen and maybe your ears were just sensitive to that noise.
