It looks like it's gonna be Ohio State/USC for the National Championship. And, I think that's as it should be. There are still those campainging for Michigan or Florida to play, but after yesterday...this is the right game. Florida has been good and deserves thier #4, but they haven't been that impressive. And let's face it...Michigan and Ohio State already played, and Michigan lost. The game's over, let's not play it again. (By the way, I was pulling for Michigan, so I'm not saying that out of personal preference, just being fair.)
USC deserves thier shot, even though I was hoping against hope for a Notre Dame victory. Up until the fourth quarter, Notre Dame had a good shot and did play an inspired game. I still say Brady Quinn for the Heismann, and that he should easily be the #1 draft pick in April.
So, without controversy, I think it's fair to say Ohio State/USC for the title and Michigan/Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl. Florida should (and will) get one of the other major bowls, but Notre Dame and Michigan truly deserve the Rose Bowl.
Once Rutgers beats West Virginia this weekend, they should get a major bowl bid against Florida.
Seems fair to me.
