Last week I took some pictures with my old Hewlett-Packard digital camera. The camera came with a cable that let me download pictures to my computer but that was lost long ago. So, Friday I bought a memory card reader at Radio Shack. When I plugged that into my computer Windows did not recognize it. I returned it and got a universal memory card with the same result. Does sound like a problem with my computer? I had a card reader that worked with a different computer but that one bit the dust.

if u have tryed more then one then yes its probly a problem with ya computer could be software or hardware

Well Crummy Buttons...

I'll betcha if you tell me exactly what your camera is, I can find you a replacement cord for downloading those pics. You can buy it on the cheap.
No worries my friend.

What are the pics of? :rainbowbounce:

And if it goes a step further then go into your control panel and see if the camera you use now is the default camera it would recognize. If not...and your camera isn't listed there......then you can probably get the driver to run your pics thru for free.

Its an H/P Photosmart E317 luv. Its pretty old (bought in 2006) I didn't think about looking online for a cable. :idunno:

The pictures are from a day trip I took last Thursday. I'll post them when I can.

I read my post again and I misspoke somewhat. I've dowloaded pictures from the camera onto this computer. The card reader stopped working, then I lost it.
