This is a good question. I’ve thought about this a lot over the past few years as my wife and I started meeting with more people for play. For me it’s a very complicated set of feelings around it. I love the idea of meeting with people and playing within our agreed boundaries. It helps us to not only learn from others, but to learn about ourselves and to see each other in a different light. On top of that, it’s been really fun! That being said, we both do still experience feelings of insecurity, jealousy, and uncertainty. We are realistic about having those feelings and are very communicative about them, which helps in managing and processing them. That has actually brought us so much closer together (and we were already very close). One thing I’ve noticed that has kind of been a surprise for me, though, is that I am more likely to experience those feelings (like jealousy, etc) disproportionately between my wife being the lee versus being the ler for someone else. When she is the lee, I am often just a bit more tense and watchful. I recognize she is in a very vulnerable position and I think I’m just on alert due to that. I am much more likely to have a spark of jealousy or something akin to it during that part of play. Conversely, I feel much less of that when she is the ler. It’s not like it doesn’t happen at all or anything, but I am much more relaxed and have even found it humorous watching her tickle another guy sometimes. For context, I am very straight and have been completely uninterested in watching or hearing another guy tickled. However, I have grown to appreciate the occasional times when we meet with a couple and my wife wants to tickle the other guy. I get to see a different side to her and that part can definitely be thrilling. I remember one time I was sitting there in awe of her destroying a guy friend of ours and I just had the thought, oh, this is what it looks like when she’s tickling me. From that angle, it can be a real treat to watch her work, and equally as terrifying!

If you are open with your partner about enjoying tickling and this is your fantasy, why you dont tell him and arrange to do it?
