Ok well ig you get to hear about a dream I had once. It's not in itself a fantasy per se but if this awakens something all power to ya. TL😀R: insect unknown to science bites stupid entomologist who doesn't use proper collection methods, which then does not get treated til in hospital somehow laughing own ass off.
Dream fades in, I'm in a forest with a bunch of people in jungle sciencey outdoor clothes. It's evidenced by the height of the trees and the overall overwhelming vegetation that we're somewhere in the tropics.
People are visible throughout the dream but not the main focus. It's an entomology expedition (bugs, but I'm not "into" them like that, just a nerd. I thought the dream was going to be normal but it eventually wasn't) and I and many others were collecting specimens for documentation. Like I said, NERD.
So we're collecting these bugs and I do not care about safety protocol in this dream, normally if I can't ID it I'm not directly touching stuff but apparently dream me can't be assed. I pick this thing up, and I don't even remember what it was but it could have been like, a beetle or somethin. It bites me, I shrug it off, genuinely didn't feel like a hot bite so I didn't care.
(This is where it turns)
A while later, unsure about time frame, I start feeling mildly off. Just a little weird. I keep trying my normal "ugh my body is complaining" solutions, nothing is working. So somehow I consult a local, they say I should get medical involved, so I go. I'm not arguing.
I arrive, get checked in, one of the others has a properly collected specimen they brought. Blah blah blah lots of doctor things happen around me but not to me, I get put in a bed, and I wait.
Eventually it's apparent that my entire upper legs (above knee, below hips) are tingling. This gradually turned into a weird deep tickle, and in a similar timeframe, my lower back all the way around to my stomach, my shoulders and upper arms all had varying degrees of this. And bc I'm ticklish as hell it was enough to laugh constantly but like medium intensity. Probably not the worst tickling I've had in a dream but definitely the weirdest.
As soon as a nurse or someone acknowledged I was there the dream abruptly ended.
