My understanding of what we currently know is that a person's ticklishness is determined by:
- Number of nerve endings, their distribution, and density.
- The sensitivity and responsiveness of those nerve endings.
- Biochemistry mediating sensory processes.
- Individual brain and neuro pathway physiology.
- Personality and psychodynamics
