What do you like about gatherings?

This is a question for those who frequent gatherings. What do you enjoy about the gatherings? Do you feel it is a good outlet for for people seeking a tickling experience in a safe, controlled setting?

Any opinions appreciated.

Tickling is an awesome part of the gatherings, I'm not gonna lie, but if you go there expecting an awesome tickling experience, you could be disappointed. You never know what could stop you from playing with the person you want to, even if they plan on playing with you, too. But if you go there expecting to have an awesome social experience you will absolutely NOT be disappointed.

My favorite part of gatherings is seeing all the awesome fools who go to them. I adore the friends that I get to see there, and the tickling, honestly, is just gravy. At the end of the weekend, my favorite memories are undoubtedly the times between the tickling when we're all sitting around and Capnmad, ASUTickler, Euphoricy and I notice that Bella has a book called, "Why Your Life Sucks and How To Make It Better" and laughing about it for 1/2 hour...or listening to Knot Amewzed call into RobAce's radio show and pretend to be his secret admirer...or watching Amnesiac do an amazing impression of the guy from Jaws, gestures and all....or me and Tortuga running into the wrong hotel and hopping around in the lobby waiting to see Euphoricy, while she's at the right hotel doing the same thing...and Euphoricy and I screaming "IFD!!" across a parking lot when we finally got to the right place....or listening to Slacker, talking to Sasaxrah on the phone for the 1st time, tell her "We'll be there in 20 minutes" without telling her who he is first, and laughing about it to this day.

This exactly. It's going to some random place on a short vacation with friends you only see a few times a year, and as soon as you see them, you catch up almost instantly. And everyone in the room shares your biggest secret.

I could not play at the next gathering and still have an awesome time and not feel like I was missing out.

To me, the most important part of a gathering is not the play (although that is a most welcome part). The most important part is being among people where I can fully be myself, where I can talk about my interests in women's feet and in tickling, as a normal part of the conversation. 😀
