I am 100% American and proud of it, though. Well, let's see on dad's side they came from England, but way way way way back in the days before the revolution some of my ancestors lost their wives and since there wasn't any English girls, they married some of the local Indian/Native American (whatever the PC term is anymore) women.

On mom's side we're Slovalk, but there's a chance - we're not sure and would need someone who can do a full genoloical(sp?) report to find out - that some of our ancestors were originally Jewish and coverted to avoid persecution. We know before they settled in Slovania they were driven out of Russia at the same time the Russians were trying to drive out all the Jews.

I guess you could say I'm a lightly mixed salad.

On dad's side I'm related to Sarah Winchester of the infamous Winchester Mystery House.

On mom's one of grandma's cousins was a grave robber who had a thing for gold teeth. He also stole rings and stuff, but gold teeth were his favorite thing to steal.

My paternal grandfather was 1/2 German and 1/2 Danish. My paternal grandmother is 1/2 Danish and 1/2 Swedish. My maternal grandparents were 100% bonafide Germans.

I have a 2-in. binder filled with family history about my paternal grandmother's geneology which is awesome. Then I have another extremely thin (maybe 1/2-in. binder) filled with some family history about my paternal grandfather's geneology. I'm glad to have something considering how difficult it can be tracing a Danish family tree. As for my maternal geneology, I have none, but I wish I did. I love geneology, learning who your ancestors were and how they lived. It's so cool. 😀
