What format do you like vid clips in?

I'm about to add another set of video clips to my webstore of a model I shot in the end of July. (I love her, think you will too.) Anyway, it's that old question that I get confronted by every time I make up a tickling clip to put on the store -- which format? I prefer mpg myself, so that's what I've been adding, but then again there is WMV which allows pretty good quality at a low file size. (I've noticed that very good quality mpg takes up a huge amount of file space.)

Then again, WMV sometimes gives me problems with the audio, like I don't have the right codec or something, so when I make my own vids for sale to others, I am afraid to use the WMV format. Nothing worse than getting an e-mail saying "I can't hear the vid" because I've been that guy who buys and DLs a vid, and cannot wait to watch it, only to find that something's wrong with it, and that sucks!

So let me put it to you folks -- which format do you prefer?

WMV should always work unless there is something wrong with your rendering equipment or codecs. Before you change the format of your clips, make sure your codecs are all updated and installed properly and that you're rendering software is set up right.

Thanks Viper. (By the way, that second image on your banner makes me want to jump into my monitor to tickle those soles!!!)

Followup on WMV -- it's weird but when I convert from my master (which is MPG) to WMV, I use the same program all the time, but it often creates a video of very different sizes. Example: I just converted a 4 minute segment and it was around 29mb, then converted another one and it was 55mb. Any idea why?

Compression. MPEG compression and WMV compression use different code. Try re-rendering the exact same video into AVI format and tell us what the filesize is, lol.
