This is mine;

On June 3, 1965, astronaut Edward H. White II became the first American to perform an Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) or "spacewalk." During his 20 minutes outside Gemini IV, White remained connected to the spacecraft's life-support and communications systems by the golden "umbilical cord," and he used a hand-held jet thruster to maneuver in space. His crewmate, James A. McDivitt, remained inside the spacecraft. The first EVA had been performed three months earlier by Soviet cosmonaut Aleksei A. Leonov, who remained outside his spacecraft for about 10 minutes.

Address by President Johnson in Chicago, Illinois on June 3, 1965, "The Peace of Mankind," Department of State Bulletin, June 21, 1965, p. 987.

* * *

In the 1930's we made our fate not by what we did but what we Americans failed to do. We propelled ourselves and all mankind toward tragedy, not by decisiveness but by vacillation, not by determination and resolution but by hesitancy and irresolution, not by action but by inaction.

The failure of free men in the 1930's was not of the sword but of the soul. And there just must be no such failure in the 1960's.

On the day I was born,
the nurses all gathered 'round

gazed in a wide wonder,
at the joy they had found

Head nurse spoke up,
said "Leave this one alone!"

she could tell right away,
I was bad to the bone!!!!

.................other than that, nothing................

:bump:

This got off the first page in just a couple of hours. I got my answers by doing a Google search for June 3, 1965.

How about you?

Apparently, not much happened on the day I was born. Maybe everybody was too busy mraching in St. Patrick's Day parades.

US Air Force General Muir S. Fairchild died.

The government of Belgium resigned.

The creation of element 98, Californium, was announced.

Hundreds of residents of Farmington, New Mexico, saw an armada of flying saucers. (Some residents said there were 500 of them in the sky.) There was a dust storm, so they couldn't see them too clearly.

On the day I was born;

In Heaven, the angels wept.
In Hell, the demons shuddered.
On earth, nature breathed a sigh of resignation.

... and later that day, World War 1 commenced. 😛

I was pulled out of a dark hole, then cleaned up by some guy in a white mask.
After that the mutherf***er held me upside down by my ankles and spanked my ass. And for that, he got piss in his eye!
Oh....then they used some big instrument (perhaps a chello) to cut the thing I was getting food from! The nerve of them. After that they put some outfit on me that made me look like I had no legs.
All in all it was a pretty busy day.

Rob

Well, maybe I should have posted this in the silly stuff category. 😕

All that happened on February 16, 1971

Nixon was secretly recorded in on the White House rooms

The Baltimore Bullets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 113-102

And most importantly, I was brought into the world, and the "natural" era began
