If we had a good tech school with finish carpentry and furtinuture and cabinet making, that's where I'd be.

In a perfect world tho, Medieval and Ancient History studies. Love to have the phd in that, but hard to make a living at it.

I'm a big fan of the old-skool liberal arts & sciences concentrations with broad-based well-rounded curricula. Because once you've developed your ability to work with language and evaluate ideas, what can't you do?
