What is the Deal w/ All the Scanty Profiles? Great Post for People w/ Actual Profiles

I just wanted to write about something I see here often (one of the few rants you will ever hear from me). I have been on this forum (on and off) since 2001. What is the deal with all the empty profiles with scanty information? If you are here, and are on chat and want to meet another tickler (or lee) than just be yourself and OFFER SOMETHING OF YOURSELF. A few photos, some actual profile information that tells some hint of yourself. Give the reader an overall impression of yourself. And if you answer a personal ad, don't tell the ad poster that your computer is broke or that your phone doesn't work for Skype. It is a waste of people's time that actually want to do more than just write about what they last had to drink or ate (why would that even be on a tickling forum anyway?). I understand that some want to be discreet, but if you ever want to truly find a tickle partner or someone else to enjoy your foot fetishes with you have to show a full profile or at least offer something on the return message, not just be some half sentences on a computer. I see more empty profiles and excuses on why they can not show or offer who they are than not. Anyway a full profile of my wife and I is here on my profile, so I am trying to set a better example. Actually, an alternative to posting an extensive profile is to just attend gatherings. Many TMF members have met partners at NEST or at smaller gatherings.

What frustrates me is if you fill it out and people dont read it then ask stupid questions that would be answered if they'd just READ the stupid thing... 🙂

But I agree its not like its hard to fill it out or that it takes a long time...

Not all of us can attend gatherings, much as we might like to. Nice idea, but not always an option. But not filling out a decent profile with pictures, it makes me feel that you have something to hide...., or you're ashamed of yourself.

Until retirement, what I have to hide is what my employer would call "moral turpitude." I disagree, but I don't make the rules. I am not ashamed of myself.

Personally I believe that my sexuality is none of anybody's business. So I don't post public pictures. If I know someone for a while and trust the person, that's when the exchange of pictures is fine with me.

I agree that not having a completely filled out profile is kind of counterproductive if you want to meet someone from here in real life, but some of the people who haven't filled out a profile might not have any desire to meet someone at the moment. They might still be a little shy and just here to explore their fetish in private for the moment. As for pictures, I don't even have Facebook. In all likeliness, I most likely will never post a picture online, and if I were to do so, I'd probably create a Facebook account before I posted a picture here. For me, the idea of a bunch of strangers looking at my pictures just seems weird.

Understood from all counter points here. I am just focusing on the ones that reach out that they would like to meet and they have no information and offer no way to really confirm that they are who they say they are. It is a big waste of time. I do not even bother if they have a empty profile and give me the excuse of "My Skype is down" or "I do not have any good pictures to send."
