What is your opinion on people who go through life with no sense of humor ?

you MUST have a sense of humor to deal with life, or life will shoot you down like a mean ass helicopter with six 20mm cannon. i was once one of those brooding, i dont like anything types, but that is just so boring after awhile. these days i just try not to take anything too seriously, because ive wasted too much of my life worrying about what other people think or what i think about myself. for once im 100% comfortable with myself, and thats pretty damn cool. if everyone lightened up a little, the world would be a better place for it. peace.....BLUE_THUNDER

What is my opinion of people with NO sense of humor?

I have had the unpleasant experience of working with someone who never, ever smiled at anything. I always greeted her in the morning when I would come into work, and the first thing she would do is look at her watch, then mumble hello, and go straight back to work. All day long she would mutter to herself in an angry tone of voice, and she was just a miserable human being.

The day I found out that she was being fired was a very happy day for me..

Ive been around people with now sense of humor which is why I like to take oportunities to make jokes when I can. In my opinion, I believe people with no sense of humor go through life taking themselves and others too seriously. They are definitely going to grow older faster plus its no good to be that way you get sicker easier.

I have known people like that and it's sad.If i could not laugh at life and myself i would most likley jump of a bridge.But i'm afarid of height's dammit lol.

I can't stand people who have no sense of humor. There are people whom I used to hand out with who always had something to complain about. I would try to joke with them to put them in a good mood, but they always found something wrong. Eventually I just stop talking to them. Hopefully they get the point. I mean, who DOESN'T like to laugh?

Perhaps people with no sense of humor find they don't need it.

Maybe they are depressed, but just choose not to lie to themselves or the rest of the world, like most attention-needing comedians.

I find that sometimes the ones with the most jokes, are also the ones with the most problems.

I'm a prime example of this. Well, maybe not prime...

I hate when people look at me with pity or treat me differently if something particularly bad is going on in my life, so I make a joke out of it to make things seem less uncomfortable.

I also rely on my sense of humor when I'm nervous or scared. It's a bit of a defense mechanism.

What's my opinion of them? I feel sorry for them. If you can't laugh at yourself and the world around you, it's harder to deal with the tough times. I don't think we have to turn into clowns and act foolish all the time. There's a time to be serious too. But, having fun and joking around is a great way to relieve tension. When I feel someone tense around me, I often will try to set myself up to be the focus of a joke just to help break the tension. It usually works.

I try to pick and choose which upsetting thing to dwell on, if it's worth it, that sort of thing.

It's something you can only learn with time. At my age, every bump in the road seems to cause a 15 car pile up when really most of the time, it's not that big of a deal.

If they truly have no sense of humor, I feel very sorry for them. I can't imagine life without humor, or the ability to appreciate it.

I personally feel very bad for people who have no sense of humor. I think they are basically just miserable people. You're correct in a way ticklishgiggle that some people make jokes to cover up their own pain but I think in general it's good to have a sense of humor and just be able to laugh and basically try to enjoy life.

I really doubt there are people with NO sense of humor. I think the problem is that people have different tastes in humour (see I find that funny right there and none of you will ever get it). Everyone laughs sometimes. It is just that we don't find the same things funny. I rarely find crude humour (there it is again) funny. I don't like potty mouths, and would prefer humor to be in the tradation of Abbot and Costello.

I don't think that there is anyone that doesn't have a sense of humor, just that we have different senses of humor, the trick is findings stuff that transends all and makes everyone laugh... like tickling.
