What makes feet attractive?

Hi,

I know there are a loot of foot lovers here who love to tickle feet. I am one of them... 😉

I was wondering if sombody knew what exactly attracts people to feet? People usually get an obsession with a part of the body for tickling, e.g., neck, belly, underarm, etc. However, I always wondered about feet. What makes them attractive? Who ever though of tickling feet in the first place?

Feet just seem such an odd choice of the human body for a fetish. I cannot figure it out.

In my case I always had an attraction for feet since I was a kid. So, it was not triggered by anything or anybody. I always loved playing with and tickling feet. Never could understand why...

Ever since I was little, I have always had a thing for women's feet. I just love the way they look. I am very attracted to the soles and to the toes. For some reason, I never cared for toe nail polish. I like my women's feet plain. Since I do have a foot fetish, I think it's only natural that the feet are my favorite place to tickle on a woman. I can only speak, for myself, but part of my attraction to female feet, is that women are always exposing them, usually without realizing they're driving guys like me crazy! Especially during warmer months, women will innocently wear sandals or open-toed shoes, or walk around the office or house barefoot, like it's no big deal, not even realizing that a barefoot woman is very sexy, and that kind of innocence is a real turn-on. Plus most women have very small dainty, polished, pedicured feet🙂

I have sometimes reflected on the fact that, as strange as a fetish for feet seems (perhaps because they are such odd appendages), it has a certain logic to it. A foot is very shapely, possessing many undulations and curves. It is, in this respect, quite similar to the entire body. Looking at the instep in profile, it starts 'out' with the heal, in with the instep, out with the ball, in at the base of the toes, and out at their tip. This may partially account for their 'sex appeal.'

While many people who have foot fetishes do not have a desire to tickle them, I've associated both feet and bellys with tickling for as long as I can remember. I think that's part of what makes them attractive. The idea that the feet are the part of the body furthest from the brain sometimes makes me ponder how long it takes the brain to receive the message that one is being tickled. I think this also enters into the element of surprise. Many people seem taken aback when you tickle their feet, as if it shouldn't be possible. They are the most 'remote' region of the body.

OK. I think C of M's first paragraph is a very good start.

Let me add a couple of ideas which are essentially Freudian. If feet are so sexually attractive to such a large minority (Myriads informs me it is the biggest "fetish" group--sorry about the term, Yaqi) then they must be connected somehow to desire for the genitals (see how even Flatfoot linked them for good or for ill)-- genitals being, of course, THE most sexually attractive body part for most humans.

Perhaps the foot represents the genitals of those we love. I think one connection is that the foot is the bottom or lowest part of the lower half of the body just as the genitals are the lowest part of the upper half. In addition, I see a link between the foot and the clitoris (or the penis for folks, male or female, who go the other way). Both the foot and the clitoris are areas of many, many nerve endings which, when tantalized, cause strong, excited reactions in the rest of the body.

Have always loved feet

And we are lucky too! The poor guys that like boobs and butts can only fanticize about seeing them. We get ours on a constant basis. When I was about 5 yo I remember seeing a nurse in the hospital where I was about to get my tonsils removed. A very strange feeling came over me that I had a desire to tickle this nurse's feet. Well I too have always loved ladies feet but here is the weird thing for me. I was only ever attracted to grown women's feet, not girls or teenagers. I actually hated the look of little girls feet, all stubby and whatnot. I love long toes so maybe that is it.
But I always loved grown womens feet.
Why, I don't know just glad I do.

I seem to notice a lot of people describing their foot fetish as something that has replaced their need for parts that other guys long for (boobs, butts, etc.), and I am wondering if that is really the case for many of you?

I see my foot fetish as something layered on top of my "normal" sex drive, which very much includes all the parts that everyone else drools over, so to speak. I think I am lucky because I get an extra turn on because of my interest in feet. I honestly think that if my desire for feet ever replaced my more normal sexual tendencies, then I would no longer consider it a blessing, but more of a curse.

I have learned that I don't have a regular foot fetish.
I don't desire to suck toes or things like that but to just tickle the soles/arches. The toes don't do anything for me which seems to be part of the foot fetish bit, no?

But then besides other physical features in a woman, the feet are on the top of my list. It seems I'm only attracted to a woman's feet if they're ticklish. I lose my "fetish" for the feet if they are not ticklish. I'm like a border footguy I think.

Thanks everyone for your answers. It is interesting to see how many people have different views about the same "topic".

A lot of us like feet, but the reasons vary and nobody really has a "clear" explanation of why the attraction.

I guess it just is... 🙄 Every person has likes and dislikes of the human body. We just seem to be attracted to feet. Some more than others, but an attraction noetheless.

I do prefer pretty and ticklish feet, but ugly feet do not really turn me off. I guess I am a hardcore foot lover. I have tickled the ugliest feet ever, and it was still fun for me. Go figure. Also, I have attempted to tickle very beautiful feet and they were not ticklish. Still, I had fun playing with them.

I think the most painful situation for me is when the lady has beautiful feet, but she is just not attractive. It is kind of hard to justify the "attraction" to her just for the feet. Conflicts of interest in the brain...

Well, stop rationalizing and go find a pair of ticklish feet to play with. 😀

p.s.- I know the not so attractive gal and gorgeous feet bit too. There's a woman at work, during casual summer days that wore these strap on shoes and her arches were screaming to be tickled. There are probably many reasons ;-)

Several of the previous posters have hit on a few triggers for me...
I too have only attraction to adult female feet, and certain shapes do nothing for me (In particular, the larger, masculine, or extremely athletic types). Also, for me, it goes beyond just tickling... Kissing her toes while giving her a gentle massage is always a turn-on. Mine goes into a bit more complexity than the "common" foot fetish. I'm heavily into nylons, pantyhose, bodystockings, knee-highs, etc on her feet. the sheerer ,the better (thick opaque tights and socks have no effect). There are so many things said in the above posts that agree with that I can't possible reiterate them all here. Let me just say that I love feet... always have. I love the way they look. And it's true what mysterytic said about getting to see them so often. But why feet, exactly? Chinese royalty used to bind young girls' feet in order to keep them small and dainty (often crippling them). Victorian writers such as Flaubert write about how erotic the tender flesh of a revealed ankle is. Of course, the Victorians were a repressed anyway.
